Overall, the protection of human rights by inmates is also considered an important issue due to the enhanced awareness of human rights in our society. The calibration facilities is one of the lowest consciousness zones of human rights in our society. It is said that the only thing that can improve such a low level of inmates human rights is the upliftment of human rights awareness through human rights education. This paper examines the current state of human rights of inmates through the Constitutional Court's decision on the human rights of inmates, and provides supplementary legal system, and strengthened human rights education for inmates and civil servants, and specialized human rights education. The view of mutual respect for human rights in calibration facilities can be expanded by providing proper working conditions for the correction public officials, as well as ensuring the adjustment of inmates through education on human rights in calibration facilities.

전반적으로 우리 사회의 향상된 인권의식과 함께 수용자의 인권 보장은 중요한 인권 문제로 인식되 고 있다. 수용시설은 우리 사회의 가장 인권저감지역 중 하나라 할 수 있다. 이러한 수용자 인권저감도 를 향상시킬 수 있는 것은 인권교육을 통한 인권의식의 고양에 있다. 본 논문은 수용자 인권 현황과 그동안 제기되어온 헌법재판소의 수용자 인권에 관한 결정문을 통해 수용자 인권의 현재를 살펴보고, 법제도적 보완 정비, 수용자와 교정공무원의 쌍방적 인권교육 강화, 인권교육 전문성 강화, 인권교육의 질적, 양적 확대, 전 계층 대상 인권교육 실시 등 교정시설에서의 인권교육의 과제를 제시하였다. 교정시설에서의 인권교육을 통하여 수용자 인권침해 예방과 이들에 대한 인권보장이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 교정시설에서 회복적 사법의 역할을 통하여 사회로 복귀를 용이하게 하고, 교정시설이 인권교 육을 통해 친인권적 환경으로 변화되어갈 때 더불어 교도관을 대하는 수용자들의 인권의식도 향상될 수 있을 것이고, 교정현실에서의 상호 인권존중시각이 넓혀질 수 있을 것이다.
