During the 40 years of Reform and Opening up, the Chinese Communist Party(CCP) has created a serious unequal society in the China. At the 19th Congress of CCP in October 2017, Xi Jinping announced ‘Xi Jinping’s New Era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics’, it means that China will still be a socialist country on the CCP’s rule. From the political, economic and social contradictions of China today, China is not like ‘socialism’ in any respect. However, In July 2021, the CCP is going to celebrates its 100th anniversary. The curious point is that how the CCP leadership is able to gain People’s political support for the next ‘new 100 years’ again. The choice of them will not only depend on economic development, but also they more likely to choose resolving the economic inequality. Specifically, the CCP is likely to use political intervention to adjust the “inequality” between the Chinese people. The process of such an experiment can be indirectly understood through the socio-economic life of the Koreans who have lived in Shanghai for more than 10 years.

개혁개방 40년 동안 중국공산당은 심각한 불평등 사회를 만들어왔다. 그리고 시진핑은 2017년 10월 19차 당대회에서 ‘시진핑 신시대 중국 특색 사회주의 사상’을 선언했는데, 이는 중국이 앞으로도 여전히 ‘사회주의 국가’를 지향할 것을 밝힌 것과 같다. 그러나 오늘날 중국의 정치·경제·사회적 모순들을 통해 볼 때, 그 어느 측면에서도중국은 ‘사회주의’와 닮아있지 않다. 문제는 2021년 창당 100주년을 맞이하는 중국공산당이 계속 사회주의를 지향한다고 주장할 때, 공산당 지도부는 어떻게 앞으로 ‘새로운100년’ 동안 인민의 정치적 지지를 확보할 수 있는가에 있다. 오늘날 중국의 정치사회적 상황을 고려할 때 중국공산당은 과거처럼 단순히 경제적성장에 기대는 것을 넘어 개혁개방 40년 동안 누적된 사회 전체의 불평등을 해소하는것을 우선 과제로 설정해야 할 것이다. 이를 위해 중국공산당은 중국 인민들간의 ‘자산불평등’을 점진적으로 조정하는 ‘정치적 개입’을 시도할 가능성이 높다. 그러한 실험의과정은 상하이 한국인들이 경험한 지난 10년 간의 사회경제적 삶을 통해 간접적으로파악할 수 있다.
