In this paper, we examined the safety of cultural properties for earthquakes in Korea. In order to improve the disaster prevention system against the earthquake hazard in Korea, we analyzed the legal system of Korea and foreign countries, the organizational structure of the disaster prevention agencies, and the state of the structural reinforcement techniques. Wooden Building Cultural Property The key to the earthquake risk is to improve the law and system of disaster prevention, disaster management organization, and structural reinforcement techniques in order to prevent the authenticity and completeness of cultural properties.

본 논문에서는 한국의 지진에 대한 문화재의 안전성을 검토하였다. 한국의 지진위험에 대비한 방재 시스템의 개선을 위해서 한국과 외국의 법·제도, 방재 담당 기관의 조직체계, 구조보강기법 현황을 분석하였다. 목조건축문화재 지진위험 대비의 핵심은 문화재의 진정성 및 완전성을 지키기 위한 사전 예방으로 문화재 방재에 대한 법·제도, 재난관리 조직, 구조보강기법을 개선하는데 있다.
