This research introduced the need for a proactive risk assessment of a disaster to prevent damage to cultural properties caused by an earthquake, fire, etc. To this end, the government described the theoretical background and the need for research in order to apply the concept of securing the robustness of buildings to registered cultural properties buildings designated under the Cultural Properties Protection Act. Through this, the government was planning to present a plan to apply the risk assessment and repair and reinforcement related research to cultural properties through prevention of future disasters in advance

본 논문에서는 지진, 화재 등의 재해에 대한 문화재의 피해를 방지하기 위하여 재해에 대한 사전위 험성 평가의 필요성을 소개하고 이를 위하여 문화재보호법에서 지정하고 있는 등록문화재중 문화재 건축물을 대상으로 건축물의 강건성 확보 개념을 적용할 수 있도록 이에 대한 이론적 배경과 연구의 필요성 등을 기술하였으며, 이를 통하여 향후 재해에 대한 사전예방을 통한 위험성 평가 및 보수보강 등 관련 연구 진행시 이를 문화재건축물에 적용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.
