This thesis studied the Huayisiziang by Yamaga Soko(1622-1685). The Sage Learning emphasized by Soko is based on the study of military science. Soko argues that Japan is the center of East Asia, and he relativizes the Chinese sinocentric order. He imposes the Japanese-style sinocentrism focusing on Japan, based on Japan as a divine land and military prestige. Soko gave duties to the whole people and considered the sincere fulfillment of those duties as the reason of the existence of people. The military science and Busido by Soko become the ideological principles for the permanence of military society. Soko created a logic that the Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592 was the spread of Japanese-style sinocentric civilization to Joseon, and also the punishment on Joseon that broke the faith without paying tributes. The invasion was transformed to the conquest and the spread of civilization. This aspect of Soko is revived as the origin of modern loyalty and patriotism.

본고는 야마가 소코(山鹿素行, 1622-1685)의 화이사상을 고찰했다. 소코가 강조하는 성학(聖學)은 무문의 학(武門之學)을 기초로 성립한다. 무문의 학은 무사도이며 병학이다. 소코는 동아시아에서 일본이 중화라고 하여 중국적 중화질서를 상대화 시키고 일본을 중심으로 한 일본형 중화질서를 내세운다. 그 바탕에는 신국 일본과 무위가 있다. 소코는 전 인민에게 직분을 부여하고 그 직분을 성실하게 수행하는 것에 인민으로서의 존재 이유를 두었다. 이러한 소코의 병학과 무사도론은 무가사회의 영속성을 위한 사상적 원리가 된다. 소코는 임진왜란을 일본형 중화문명의 조선 전파, 조공을 하지 않는 신의를 버린 조선에 대한 정벌이라는 논리를 만들었다. 침략은 정벌, 문명의 전파로 변용되었다. 소코의 이러한 면이 근대의 충군애국 정신의 연원으로 소환되고 있다.

本稿は山鹿素行(1622-1685)の華夷思想を考察した。素行が強調する聖學は武門の學を本に成立する。武文の学は武士道であり兵学である。素行は東アジアの中で日本が中華とし、伝統的な中國的秩序を相対化する。日本を中心とする日本型中華主義が成立した。その基礎には神国日本と武威があった。素行は全民衆に職分を与え、それを誠実に勤ることに、人民としての存在理由を置いた。このような素行の兵学と武士道論は、武家社会の永続性のための思想的原理になる。 素行は壬辰倭亂を日本型中華文明の朝鮮伝播、朝貢をしない信義を裏切った朝鮮への征伐であるという論理を作った。侵略は征伐、文明の伝播と変容された。素行のこのような認識が近代になると、忠君愛国精神の淵源と復活される。 キーワード;山鹿素行、日本型華夷思想、神国日本、武士道, 兵營國家
