In order to propose effective learning methods to teach basic mathematics course for students of business administration, we conducted the survey on recognition and attitude on mathematics subjects, and analyzed academic achievements of the business mathematics as a basic mathematics course in relation to the results of the survey. First, we investigated learning contents and problems difficult for students to understand in the course, and presented the instructional method and significance of them with examples. These learning contents and problems were collected from the students using the mathematics cafe. Furthermore, we analyzed types of the incorrect answers on the midterm and final examinations in the business mathematics. Although it is difficult to generalize the finding to all of the business administration students due to differences in academic level and educational environment, much work has been put in to present learning method of the business mathematics for students of business administration.

본 논문에서는 P대학에서 경상계열 학생들을 위해 기초수학 교과목으로 개설하는 경영수학입문 수 강학생을 대상으로 수학 교과에 대한 인식과 태도 및 수학적 배경을 알아보기 위하여 설문조사를 실시 하였다. 또한, 학습지도 및 평가방법과 수학카페 이용 현황 등을 중심으로 교과목의 운영 실태를 조사 하고, 수학 교과에 대한 학생들의 인식 및 태도와 취득성적간의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 그리고 학습과 정에서 학생들의 질문을 학습내용별로 정리하고 일부 질문에 대한 구체적인 학습지도 방법과 지도상의 유의점 등을 살펴보았다. 아울러, 지필고사에서 경상계열 학생들이 주로 범하는 대표적인 오답의 유형 도 분석해 보았다. 이러한 연구 결과들을 토대로, 경상계열 학생들의 수학 기초학력 향상을 위한 학습 지도 방안을 제안하였다.
