The purpose of this study is to identify the acculturation stress of migrant workers affected the quality of life and to suggest practical measures to improve the quality of life of migrant workers. For this, 355 migrant workers from Gyeonggi-do, Seoul and Ansan participated in the study. The questionnaires were recalled and analyzed using the technical statistics T-test, Pearson correlating preference, and multI-term analyses using SPSS 20. First, the results of the study show that the higher the monthly income, the longer the stay period, the higher the satisfaction level with the housing, and the better the healthy the better the quality of life. Second, it was discovered that the higher the perceived hatred of acculturation stress, the higher the fear, and the higher the problem of social isolation, inferiority, distrust, and communication, the lower the quality of life. Based on the results of this study, it suggested the methods of institutional, administrative intervening in social welfare to enhance the quality of life of migrant workers.

본 연구는 외국인근로자의 문화적응스트레스가 삶의 질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 알아보고 외국인 근로자의 삶의 질을 향상하기 위한 실천적 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 경기도, 서울과 안산 등 에 거주하는 외국인근로자 355명이 연구에 참여하였다. 설문지를 회수하여 SPSS 20을 활용하여 기술통계 t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, 다중회귀분석을 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구결과는 첫째, 월 소득이 높을수록, 체류기간이 길수록, 주택만족도가 높을수록, 건강상태가 좋을수록 삶의 질이 높아지는 것으로 나 타났다. 둘째, 문화적응 스트레스의 지각된 미워함이 높을수록, 두려움이 높을수록, 사회적 고립, 열등감, 불 신, 의사소통의 문제가 높을수록 삶의 질이 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 외국인근로 자의 삶의 질의 수준의 향상을 위한 사회복지 실천적, 정책적 함의로 제시하였다.
