‘Temperature’ is a topic that is frequently discussed in everyday life, ‘따뜻하다’ and ‘温/暖’ which are frequently used among temperature adjectives. This study examines the usage patterns of Korean ‘따뜻하다’ and Chinese ‘温/暖’ through the use of Korean and Chinese linguistic data and language data. The purpose of this study is to analyze the perception of Korean and Chinese language culture. The common usage ranges of ‘따뜻하다’ in Korean and ‘温/暖’ in Chinese are ‘temperature’, ‘emotion’, ‘attitude’, ‘personality’, ‘synesthesia’, ‘environment’, ‘relationship’. In the ‘temperature’ range, both Korean and Chinese are used as temperature concepts, but the detection and recognition of food are different. In the ‘synesthesia’ range, synaptic angle conversion is the same. In the range of ‘personality’, ‘emotion’, and ‘attitude’, it is used in a positive sense. In the scope of ‘environment’, the meaning of the temperature adjective given to ‘environment’ differs according to sentence context. Korean ‘따뜻하다’ can be expressed in the ‘relation’ range, and Chinese ‘温/暖’ can be expressed in the ‘degree’ range.

‘온도’는 일상생활에서 흔히 토론하는 주제이며 온도형용사 중에 사용 빈도가 높은 ‘따뜻하다’와 ‘温/暖’을 연구 대상으로 삼았다. 본 논문은 한국어의 ‘따뜻하다’와 중국어 ‘温/暖’이 한국어와 중국어의 사전적 의미와 언어 데이터를 통해 구체적 사용 범위에서의 사용 양상을 살펴보았다. 다양한 사용 범위에서 두 언어의 공통성과 차이성이 나타나 이를 분석하고 한국과 중국 언어문화에 대한 인식을 분석하는 데에 목적을 둔다. 한국어의 ‘따뜻하다’와 중국어 ‘温/暖’의 공통적인 사용 범위는 ‘온도’, ‘감정’, ‘태도’, ‘성격’, ‘공감각’, ‘환경’이 있으며 상이한 사용 범위는 ‘정도’, ‘관계’가 있다는 것을 제시하였다. ‘온도’ 범위에서는 한국어와 중국어 모두 온도 개념으로 사용하지만 음식에 대한 감지나 인식이 다르다는 것을 확인할 수 있고, ‘공감각’ 범위에서는 공감각 전환 방식이 같다. ‘성격’, ‘감정’, ‘태도’ 범위에서는 긍정적인 의미로 사용하고 ‘환경’ 범위에서는 문장 문맥에 따라 ‘환경’에 부여한 온도형용사의 의미가 달라진다. 따라서 한국어 ‘따뜻하다’는 ‘관계’ 범위에서 표현할 수 있고 중국어는 ‘정도’ 범위에서 표현할 수 있다.
