The purpose of this study is to derive implications and policies for improving industry-academic internship programs through analyzing the existing literature and diagnosing current status of industry-academy internship programs. For this, this study conducted a survey according to the CIPP model and suggested implications based on the results. In conclusion, this study derived 4 implications as follows. ① Industry-academy internship is more helpful for accumulating experience in social and organizational life after actual participation than the expectation that industry-academy internship will help in employment. ② It is necessary to evaluate the university(college) students participating in industry-academy internship as well as the evaluation of the institution and the mentor. ③ The current industry-academy internship participants are more than half of that in the fourth grade, but it is actually better to do it in the third grade. ④ It is suggested that the internship program needs to be supplemented so that industry-academy internship can help practical business function. Also. policy suggestions are given to government and university officials.

본 연구는 산학 인턴십의 현황을 진단하기 위해 산학 인턴십을 주제로 한 기존 문헌들을 살펴보고, CIPP모형에 맞추어 구성한 설문조사 결과를 분석함으로써 향후 더 효과적인 산학 인턴십이 되기 위해 개선해야 할 점이 무엇인지에 관한 시사점 도출과 정책 제안을 목적으로 하고 있다. 실제로 본 연구는 현황 진단을 위해 CIPP 모형을 토대로 한 설문조사 결과를 통해 많은 시사점들을 도출할 수 있었다. 결론을 통해 본 연구는 산학 인턴십이 취업에 도움이 될 것이라는 기대와 달리 실제 참여 후에는 오히려 사회 및 조직생활에 대한 경험을 쌓는데 더 도움이 된다고 인식한다는 점, 현행 산학 인턴십은 4학년 때 수행하는 비율이 절반 이상이지만, 실제로는 3학년 때 수행하는 것이 보다 바람직하다고 평가한다는 점, 산학 인턴십에 참여한 대학생에 대한 평가 뿐 아니라 산학 인턴십 수행기관과 그 기관의 멘토/상사에 대한 평가도 의무화할 필요가 있다는 점, 산학 인턴십이 실질적인 업무 습득에 도움이 될 수 있도록 인턴십 프로그램의 내용을 보완할 필요가 있다는 점 등을 시사하고 있으며, 정부와 대학 관계자들에 대한 정책적인 제언도 함께 제시하고 있다.
