The goal of this research uses DEA and with effectiveness grade (production cost - benefit) of Hollywood movie (2009-2012 above of release and benefit $100,000,000) to process the classification which is fixed quantity considered evaluation marks information of movie. This structure of film industry about movie performance factor discrimination point with existing research result presented the thing from the environment where from existing movie theater income (box office) with the digital home video (electronic home video) the week profit structure is changed. Also experiment led and following effectiveness grade the feature of the movie which belongs to 4 kind movie classifications to have a respectively characteristic attribute and a nature, gets the influence of application possibility and existing production cost and release screen size about movie performance determining factor proposed the new view to movie recommendation system.

이 연구의 목적은 DEA를 이용하여 미국 할리우드 영화 (2009-2012년 개봉, 수익 $100,000,000 이상)의 효율성 등급(제작비-수익)과 영화의 평점 정보를 고려한 정량적인 분류를 진행하는 것이다. 이 는 영화 산업의 구조가 기존의 영화관 수입(Box Office)에서 디지털 홈 비디오(Electronic Home Video) 로 주 수익구조가 변경되는 환경에서 영화 흥행성 요인에 관한 기존의 연구 결과와의 차별 점이 존재 한다는 것을 제시하였다. 또한 실험을 통해서 효율성 등급에 따른 4가지 영화 분류에 속하는 영화의 특 징은 각각의 고유 속성 및 성질을 가지고 있으며 영화 추천 시스템에 적용 가능성 및 기존의 제작비와 개봉스크린 규모의 영향력을 받는다는 영화 흥행성 결정 요인에 관한 새로운 시각을 제안하였다.
