The small-medium business policy have stressed on the competitive capability of the innovative small company by the 2003's new government. The government is very aggressive of the search and cultivation of the innovative company, presenting a different beneficial condition including the tax-exemption, profitable funding etc. This thesis purpose is to find the business performance and to suggest the company supporting policy. And also we analyses the company characteristic and business performance in the IT sector company with the policy fund and credit guaranteeing. This thesis present significant factors such as company growth rate and credit guarantee default that affect business performance in IT sector industry. The cultivation and support for the innovative small-medium companies should consider these results for setting up the right governmental policy.

2003년 참여정부 출범 이후, 정부의 중소기업 정책은 중소기업의 경쟁력 강화를 위해 혁신형 중소기업 육성에 역점을 두고 진행되었다. 혁신형 중소기업 육성을 위해 각종 우대조건(세제 혜택, 정 책자금 우대 등)을 제공하며 적극 나서고 있다. 본 연구에서는 혁신형 중소기업의 경영성과 요인 파악 및 혁신형 중소기업 지원정책 수립의 방향 제시를 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 최근 신용보증 등의 정 책적 자금을 활용한 IT부문의 중소기업을 대상으로 기업의 주요특성이 경영성과에 어떠한 영향을 미 치는지 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 IT부문 중소기업의 경영성과(기업성장률, 신용보증사고)에 영향을 미치는 요인을 제시하고 있다. 혁신형 중소기업의 육성 및 지원을 위한 정부시책에 본 연구결 과는 참고될 수 있을 것이다.
