The purpose of this study is to find out how the visual design principles affect female character preferences to mobile games based on their form, and to be utilized in future plans for female character design in mobile games. The research method conducted a survey of 10 selected female characters and explored the principles of visual molding that affects preference. Based on the survey results, the average comparison were made using the SPSS24.0 statistical package. The results of the study showed that when combined with the survey results, the emphasis on the focus on the visual elements of the form had the greatest impact on the preference to female characters of mobile games. Second, when looking at the results of the survey, it was revealed the emphasis on the contrast to form visual elements had the second largest effect on preference. Third, when comparing harmony with emphasis, emphasis has a greater effect on preference than harmony. Fourth, the physical characteristics of female characters were emphasized on the focus on the visual elements of the form and through the emphasis through the preparation of the visual elements of the form. Therefore, it appears that a design with partially complex forms visual elements and an emphasis on women’s physical characteristics is preferred.

본 연구의 목적은 형태를 중심으로 모바일게임의 여성캐릭터 선호도에 어떠한 조형원리가 영향을 끼치 는지 알아보는 것이다. 그리고 향후 모바일게임의 여 성캐릭터 디자인에 활용될 수 있는 자료를 제공하는 것이다. 연구방법은 선정된 10개 여성캐릭터를 중심 으로 전문가 설문조사를 실시하여 선호도에 영향을 미치는 조형원리를 알아보았다. 본 연구는 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 SPSS 24.0 통계패키지를 이용하여 평균비교를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 조사결과를 종합하여 살펴보았을 때, 형태시각요소의 ‘집중을 통 한 강조’가 모바일게임 여성캐릭터의 선호도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조사의 결 과를 종합하여 살펴보았을 때 형태시각요소의 ‘대비 를 통한 강조’가 선호도에 두 번째로 큰 영향을 미 치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 크게 ‘조화’와 ‘강 조’로 묶어 비교해 보았을 때, ‘강조’가 ‘조화’ 에 비해 선호도에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 형태시각요소의 ‘집중을 통한 강조’와 형태 시각요소의 ‘대비를 통한 강조’를 통하여 여성캐릭터의 신체적인 특징이 강조되었다. 따라서, 부분적으 로 복잡한 형태시각요소를 가지며 여성의 신체적 특 징이 강조되는 디자인이 선호되는 것으로 보인다.
