This study aimed to investigate the effect of firefighters' social capital on subjective happiness. This research was conducted from Jun 12 to Aug 25, 2017, and a descriptive analysis, t-test, hierarchical regression analysis was carried out based on the results of a survey with 351 firefighters in Gyeonggi-do to verify the research hypothesis. As a result, it was revealed that network(β=.315, p<.001), trust(β=.293, p<.01), cooperation(β=.225, p<.01) and trust among other sub-variables of firefighters' social capital had significant effects on subjective happiness. Based on the results, this research suggested that various measures to strengthen social capital would be required in order to improve fire-fighters' happiness: efforts to increase trust within the organization, political support for vitalizing formal network as a communication channel among firefighters organizations, encouraging interest in the community and promoting informal network such as volunteer work, developing transparency in operating the organizational policy and system, etc.

본 연구는 소방공무원의 사회적 자본이 주관적 행복감에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 시행된 연구이다. 연구의 조사기간은 2017년 6월12일부터 8월25일까지 진행되었으며, 연구가설을 검정하기 위해 경기지역 소방공무원 351명을 대상 으로 설문조사한 내용을 바탕으로 기술통계분석, t-검증, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 소방공무원의 사회적 자본의 하위변인 중 네트워크(β=.315, p<.001) , 신뢰(β=.293, p<.01), 협력(β=.225, p<.01)이 주관적 행복감에 유의미한 영향 을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 소방공무원의 행복감 증진을 위해서는 조직 내 신뢰증진을 위한 노 력, 소방조직 간 소통의 통로로서 공식적 네트워크의 활성화를 위한 정책적 지원, 지역사회에 대한 관심과 봉사활동 등의 비공식적 네트워크 활성화와 조직의 정책과 제도 운영에 있어서 투명성 확립 등 사회적 자본을 강화하기 위한 다양한 대안 이 필요함을 제안하였다.
