The purpose of this study was to investigate the age, record and physique of finalists(n = 130) in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and the 2017 Athletics World Championships(shotput, discus, javelin, hammer throw). And to analyze the relationship between physiques(height, weight) and record. 1, Men's discus throwers were taller than men's javelin throwers and men's hammer throwers. The female discus thrower was taller than the female javelin thrower. 2. The male shotput was heavier than the male javelin thrower and the male hammer thrower. The male discus thrower weighed more than the male javelin thrower and the male hammer thrower. The male hammer thrower was heavier than the male javelin thrower. The female shot thrower was heavier than the female discus thrower and the female javelin thrower. The female hammer thrower was heavier than the female javelin thrower. 3. There was no significant difference in age among all the throwing events. 4. There was no difference in the physical physique(height, weight), age, and records of throwing events between the Olympic Games and the Athletic World Championships. 5. The male discus thrower's height and weight affected the record. The man hammer throw affected the record by his weight. The female shotput thrower's weight affected the record. 6. The most successful throwing events were in male hammer thrower (78.1%) and female hammer thrower(80.2%).

본 연구는 2016년 리우올림픽과 2017년 런던세계육상선수권대회에 참가한 남녀 육상 투척종목(포환던지기, 원반던지기, 창던지기, 해머던지기) 결승진출자들(n=128)의 나이 및 신체조건(키, 체중)과 기록과의 관계를 분석하 고자 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 남자 원반던지기 선수는 창과 해머선수보다 키가 컸으며, 여자원반 선수는 창 선수보다 키가 컸다. 2. 남자 포환선수는 창과 해머선수보다 체중이 무거웠으며, 원반선수는 창과 해머선수보다 체중이 무거웠다. 남자 해머선수는 창선수보다 체중이 무거웠고, 여자 포환선수는 원반과 창선수보다 체중이 무거웠으며, 여자 해머선수는 창선수보다 체중이 무거운 것으로 나타났다. 3. 남녀 모든 투척종목(포환던지기, 원반던지기, 창던지기, 해 머던지기) 간 나이에서 유의한 차이가 없었다. 4. 올림픽과 세계선수권대회 간 투척종목(포환던지기, 원반던지기, 창던 지기, 해머던지기)의 체격(신장, 체중), 나이와 기록 비교에서 남녀 모두 차이가 없었다. 5. 남자 원반던지기 선수는 신 장과 체중이 기록에 영향을 주었고, 남자 해머던지기 선수와 여자 포환던지기 선수는 체중이 기록에 영향을 주었다. 투 척종목 결승 6회 시기중 성공률은 남자해머던지기(78.1%)와 여자해머던지기(80.2%)에서 상대적으로 가장 높았다.
