This study examines the historical background of Taekwondo and other poomsae events that brought about another upheaval of the Taekwondo event, examines the gains and losses of the Taekwondo events, I would like to analyze it. In addition, it is aimed to raise the status of Taekwondo and to predict the future of Taekwondo Poomsae game in the future by seeking the possibility of the political challenges of the government or related organizations related to the Poomsae game. The researchers set out the following research problems and concluded them. First, what are the gains and losses due to the Poomsae 's match - making? Second, what value does the Poomsae development and the introduction of Beach Taekwondo offer? Third, what is the outline of the vision and policy task of the current Taekwondo organizations? Fourth, where should the future prospects and policy directions of Taekwondo Poomsae be based? Fifth, can Taekwondo Poomsae be adopted as an Olympic sport? These attempts will work as a system that can realize the ideals of Taekwondo, and the result is not only the development of taekwondo competition but also the prospect of future poomsae events and the growth of Taekwondo It will be able to provide a framework for policy tasks for Poomsae.

이 연구는 태권도의 또 다른 경기화를 가져온 품새종목을 중심으로 그간의 역사적 배경과 경기화를 통해 나타난 득(得)과 실(失), 그리고 각 기구에서 추진하고 있는 정책적 과제들을 점검하고 그 성과를 분석해보고자 하였다. 아울러 품새경기와 관련한 정부 또는 관련기구의 정책적 도전과제의 가능성을 모색해봄으로써, 태권도의 위상을 제고하고, 향 후 태권도 품새경기의 전망을 예측하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 연구자는 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하여 결론을 도출하 였다. 첫쨰, 품새의 경기화로 인해 얻은 득(得)과 잃은 실(失)은 무엇인가? 둘째, 경기용 품새의 개발과 비치태권도 도입 은 어떠한 가치를 제시하고 있는가? 셋째, 현행 태권도 관련기구의 비전과 정책적 과제의 골자는 무엇인가? 넷째, 향후 태권도 품새의 전망과 정책적 방향은 어디에 기준해야 하는가? 다섯째, 과연 태권도 품새도 올림픽 종목으로 채택 가능 한 것인가? 이러한 시도는 태권도가 추구하고자 하는 이상(理想)의 모습을 현실화할 수 있는 시스템으로 작동할 것이 며, 이에 대한 결과는 태권도 경기의 발전은 물론 향후 품새 종목의 전망 그리고 ‘무도스포츠’로서 성장하는데 있어 태권 도 품새에 대한 정책적 과제의 틀을 마련할 수 있을 것이다.
