This study examined the transitional process of Korean women's javelin records from 1929 when the first Korean record was established, to the present of 2018. The first Korean record of women's javelin was the 22.20m, established by Kang, Soo-Dong(Kyeongseong Girls' High School) in the Women's Olympics of 1929. From 1931 to 1948, Kim, Deok-Sil(Pyeongyang Girls' High School) and Lee, Choo-Ja(Sariwon) established the new records. In 1948, the 30m was broken down by Jeong, Gwang-Mo(Ewha Girls' Middle School, 30.42m). After the 33.70m by Kim, Soon-Bae(Sungshin Girls' Middle School) in 1949, the record was stagnant for 15 years. The records entered the 40m when Lee, Hye-Ja(Ewha Girls' High School, Sungkyunkwan University, 43.04m) established the new records four times from 1964 to 1966. In the 1970s, Lee, Bok-Soon pushed up the record by throwing as far as 49.48m. In the 1980s, the records entered the 50m by Jang, Seon-Hee(Gongju National University, 53.46m). In 1989 and 1990, Lee, Jeong-Ja(Korea National Sport University) set the record of 55.20m. From 1991, Lee, Yeong-Seon(Chungbuk Physical Education High School, Korea National Sport University) established the new Korean records total seven times. Initially breaking the 60m-wall, she accomplished a monumental landmark of winning two times in the Asian Games. After that, the central location of spear was changed by the changed rules of the world federations. Since 2000, the 60m-record established by Jang, Jeong-Yeon has been recognized as the Korean record.

본 연구에서는 한국여자창던지기의 기록변화과정을 첫 한국기록이 수립된 1929년부터 2018년 현재까지 살펴보 았다. 한국여자창던지기 첫 기록은 1929년 여자올림픽에서 강수동(경성여고)이 세운 22m20이었다. 1931년부터 48 년까지 김덕실(평양여고)과 이추자(사리원)가 기록경신을 하였고 1948년 정광모(이화여중, 30m42)에 의해 30m를 돌 파하였다. 1949년 김순배(성신여중)의 33m70 이후, 15년간 기록이 정체되다가 이혜자(이화여고, 성대, 43m04)가 64 년부터 66년까지 4차례 기록을 경신하며 40m대에 진입한다. 70년대에는 이복순이 49m48를 던지며 기록을 끌어올렸 고, 80년대에는 장선희(공주사대, 53m46)에 의해 첫 50m대에 진입하게 된다. 89~90년에 이정자(한체대)가 55m20 을 기록, 91년부터는 이영선(충북체고, 한체대)이 한국기록경신을 시작으로 총 7차례의 한국기록을 경신한다. 그녀는 첫 60m돌파하며 아시안게임 2연패라는 금자탑을 쌓는다. 이후 세계연명의 규정변경으로 인해 창의 중심위치가 변경되며 2000년 이후부터는 새로운 기록이 정해졌고 2004년 장정연이 세운 60m92를 한국기록으로 인정된다.
