This study examined the transitional process of Korean men's 110m hurdle records from 1928 to the present of 2018. The first Korean record of 110m hurdle was the 16.2 seconds, established by Kim, Hwan-Min(Incheon Commercial High School) in the Whole Joseon Athletic Meet of 1929. Showing the unrivaled performances from 1929 to 1936, he put the records in 15 seconds. Starting with the 15.3 seconds in 1936, Lee, Jang-Wan(general) established the Korean record of 15.2 seconds two years later, which was a very good record of the time. After that, going through the stagnation period for 37 years, the Korean record was re-established by Kim, Yeong-Hee(Air Force, 14.8 seconds) in 1973, which entered the 14 seconds. In the early 1980s, Song, Yeon-Sik set the Korean record once every year for three years, and shortened the record to 14.60 seconds. In the late 1980s, Kim, Jin-Tae(Sungkyunkwan University) shortened the record to 14.00 seconds in the Seoul Olympics. In 1994, the 13-seconds wall was broken down by Lee, Jeong-Ho(Korea National Sport University, 13.95 seconds). After 2000, the records entered the 13.4 seconds through the record competition between Lee, Jeong-Joon(13.53 seconds) and Park, Tae-Kyeong(13.48 seconds). In 2014, Kim, Byeong-Joon(Military Sports,13.39 seconds) won the first silver medal of Korean 110m hurdle in the Asian Games.
