The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of success experiences using similar tasks on learning in the elderly 's gate ball task. For this purpose, elderly people aged 65 or older participated in the experiment. They did not provide any information related to the purpose of this study. They were randomly assigned: 10 to the success groups, 10 to the failure groups, and 10 to the control groups. The task of this study was to use the gate ball base striking task and similar task. The dependent variable was the performance score. Data analysis in the acquisition phase was conducted under the design of 3 (group) × 6 (block) factor which repeated measures on the last factor. The results were analyzed and the following conclusions were obtained. First, the success group showed the best performance in the acquisition phase. Second, in the immediately retention test, the success group performed better than the control group. Third, in the delayed retention test, the success group was superior to the failure group and the control group. In conclusion, this study shows that success and failure experiences using similar tasks can have different effects on elderly’s gate ball performance and learning.

본 연구의 목적은 노인들의 게이트볼 과제에서 유사과제를 이용한 성공경험이 학습에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위함이었다. 이를 위해 65세 이상의 노인들이 실험에 참여하였다. 이들에게는 본 연구의 목적과 관련된 어떠한 정보도 제공하지 않았다. 이들은 성공집단, 실패집단, 통제집단에 10명씩 무선 배정되었다. 본 연구의 과제는 유사과제와 게이 트볼 기본 타격과제가 사용되었으며 종속변인은 수행점수였다. 습득단계의 자료 분석은 마지막 요인을 반복 측정하는 3(집단)× 6(분단)요인 설계 하에 이루어졌고 파지단계는 일원변량분석을 실시하였다. 결과를 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 성공집단은 습득단계에서 가장 우수한 수행을 나타냈다. 둘째, 즉각적 파지검사에서 성공집단은 통제집단보다 우수한 수행을 나타냈다. 셋째, 지연된 파지검사에서 성공집단은 실패집단과 통제집단보다 우수한 것으 로 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 유사과제를 사용한 성공, 실패 경험이 게이트볼 수행과 학습에 차별적인 영향을 미 칠 수 있다는 것을 보여준다.
