This thesis explored the meaning of analysis on the Korean translations of Chinese classical poetry in relation to the research on the translation of discourses in accordance with the perspective of systemic functional linguistics, focusing on the analysis of Korean translations of a poem『Qing Ming』by Du Mu. For this, first, the basic perspectives of systemic functional linguistics were suggested, and out of them, the transitivity analysis performing the ideational function, the mood analysis performing the interpersonal function, and the theme-rheme analysis performing the textual function were concretely discussed. And after conducting the transitivity analysis, mood analysis, and the theme-rheme analysis on the Chinese original of『Qing Ming』, the Korean translations were comparatively analyzed. The Chinese original text of『Qing Ming』was realized in each material process, relational process, verbal process, and material process. On top of using the declarative sentence and interrogative sentence, through the use of “jiewen” meaning the honorific, the interpersonal meaning was reflected. In order to consider how it has been realized in Korean translations, out of total 13 types of translation collected by the researcher, the four types with the relative representativeness were analyzed through the cross comparison and the comparison with the original text, in the perspective of systemic functional linguistics. In the Korean translations, diverse processes such as material process, relational process, mental process, and verbal process were realized. The interrogative sentence showed differences between indirect quotation and direct quotation. Also, the use of honorific system responding to “jiewen” was diversely used. The significance of this thesis is the development of researches on the Korean-Chinese translation and the discourse analysis, in the aspect of revealing the parts that have not been observed by the existing translation researches, by comparatively analyzing the classical poetry and its Korean translations in the perspective of systemic functional linguistics.

이 논문에서는 체계기능언어학의 관점에 따라 중국 고전 시가의 한국어 번역본을 분석하 였다. 구체적으로 두목의 시 청명의 한국어 번역본에 대한 비교 분석을 중심으로 번역 연구 에서의 담화분석의 의미를 탐색해 보았다. 이를 위하여 체계기능언어학의 기본 관점을 기술하 고, 그 중에서도 관념적 메타기능을 수행하는 타동성 분석, 상호적 메타기능을 수행하는 서법 분석, 구성적 메타기능을 수행하는 주제부-설명부 분석에 대해 좀 더 상세히 기술했다. 그리 고 시 청명의 중국어 원본에 대해 타동성 분석, 서법 분석, 주제부-설명부 분석을 우선 진행 하고, 한국어 번역본에 대해 비교하면서 분석했다. 시 청명의 중국어 원본의 각 소절은 각각 물질과정, 관계과정, 구두과정, 물질과정으로 실현되고, 1, 2, 4절은 평서형으로, 3절은 의문형이 사용되었고, 3절에서는 높임을 나타내는 “借问”을 통해 상호적 메타의미를 반영했다. 한국어 번역본에서는 어떻게 구현되고 있는지 고찰하기 위해 연구자가 수집한 13종의 번 역본 중에서 비교적 대표성을 갖는다고 판단되는 4종에 대해 서로 교차 비교 및 원본과 비교 하면서 체계기능언어학의 관점에 따라서 분석했다. 한국어 번역본에서는 물질과정, 관계과정, 정신과정, 구두과정 등 다양한 과정이 실현되었고, 의문형 문장에서 간접인용과 직접인용의 차이를 보여주었으며, “借问”에 대응하는 높임 화계의 사용에서 다양하게 나타나면서 차이를 보였다. 이 논문에서는 고전시가 및 그것의 한국어 번역본에 대해 체계기능언어학의 관점에 따라 비교하면서 분석했고, 기존의 번역 연구에서 주목하지 못했던 부분을 밝힐 수 있었다는 점에 서 본 연구는 한중 번역 연구 및 담화분석 연구의 발전에 기여한다고 판단한다.
