The purpose of this study is to investigate both what teaching competency is required for excellent work performance of the faculty of Korea Polytechnics and in what area they show their excellencies in vocational education and training. To achieve its purpose, the following research methods were used. This study compares and analyzes previous research data on teaching competency development data and competency development methods, and utilizes the DACUM method to drew 8 duties, 35 tasks, and behavioral indicators based on the tasks respectively. The first and second delphi surveys were carried out, and 10 duties and 39 tasks were revised to conduct a survey on the professors at Korea Polytechnics. Also, this paper analyzes the validity and reliability, and reorganized the detailed competencies into 9 competency clusters through requirement analysis. Both analyses of the education needs by competency group and of the relations between teaching competency and internal and external environments are will be published in the next issue Journal of Skills and Qualifications.

대학 교육의 질은 교수학습과정의 질이라는 관점에서 보게 되므로, 한국폴리텍대학이 추구 하는 교원의 인재상은 어떠한 교수역량을 필요로 하는지, 내․외부 환경적 요인에 미치는 역 량은 어떤 것인지를 분석하고자 하였다. 폴리텍 교원의 차별화된 역량을 도출하여 타당성 검 증을 하고, 역량들이 교육훈련과 연계되어 조직의 우수한 성과로 이어지는 체계적인 인적자원 관리를 위한 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 교수역량 모델의 개발 방법의 자료수집은 DACUM 직무분석을 통해 교원이 갖추어야 할 책무와 과업을 도출하여 과업별 행동지표를 작성하고, 델파이 조사 및 초점집단회의를 걸쳐 총 10개의 책무와 39개의 과업, 161개의 행동지표를 완성하였다. 이를 기초로 313명의 설문조사 결과를 분석하여 폴리텍대학 교원으로서 가장 중 요한 역량은 무엇인지와 교육훈련 변화필요도 분석을 위하여 t-검증, Borich의 요구도, The Locus for Focus 모델을 활용하여 최종 우선순위 역량을 도출하였다. 또한, 직급별, 지역별, 계열별 등 교수역량을 비교분석하였다. 역량이 직업교육훈련 성과에 미치는 요인, 성과와의 관계 등에 대하여 연구하였으며, 이러한 연구결과를 1차에서는 교수역량 도출 과정과 타당도 및 신뢰도 분석에 대하여, 2차에서는 교수역량에 대한 각각의 특성에 따른 분석결과로 나눠 서 등재하고자 한다.
