In the process of capitalist market transformation into a single competition system, it is essential to support and cooperate with a focus on the functional combination of industries. The auto parts industry in the Dongnam region has the potential to speed up technological innovation by organizing clusters organically, but if it is to lead the regional economy, it is required to confirm that it has the competitiveness to lead growth and job creation. For the purpose of achieving this, it is necessary to accurately diagnose the efficiency of the automotive parts industry in each region. Therefore, the technical efficiency and scale efficiency of automobile parts industry in the metropolitan area including the Dongnam region are analyzed, and furthermore, the productivity value based on the Malmquist production index Respectively. As a result of analysis, the auto parts industry in the Dongnam region is relatively disadvantageous compared to other regions in terms of size, and production activities are inefficiently performed internally. Therefore, it is expected that the productivity will improve only if the reduction in scale and the improvement of efficiency outside scale are promoted at the same time. In addition, since the DRS has a strong nature in the Dongnam region, it is necessary to reduce the scale to improve profitability.

자동차부품산업의 권역별 경쟁력 강화를 위해 전체 광역경제권을 대상으로 자동차부품산 업의 기술적 효율성과 규모효율성을 분석하고, Malmquist 생산지수를 근거하여 생산성 값을 도출하였다. 우선 연도별로 산출변수로서 부가가치 표준편차 값이 증가하고는 있지만 상대 적 효율성 평균치가 상승세인 것을 고려하면 권역별 효율성 격차는 완화되었다. 광역경제권 역별로 추정된 자동차부품산업의 규모효율성과 경제여부에 대한 추정결과에서 동남권은 DRS의 성격이 강한 지역으로 나타나 수익성 향상을 위해서는 규모의 감량화가 요구된다. 구성요소별 효율성변화에서 서남권이 가장 큰 증가율을, 강원권역에서 추격 잠재력 효과를 보였고, 나머지 권역들은 최대 효율적인 생산지와 격차가 더욱 커진 것으로 확인되었다. 동 남권역 자동차부품산업 총생산성변화를 구성요소별 수치와 전국평균 측정치를 비교해본 결 과 규모수익불변 기술수준에서 최대 산출량 비율인 규모효율성 향상을 나타낸 전국평균과 달리 감소함으로서 효율성은 하락한 것으로 분석되었다. 반면 혁신 잠재력으로서 기술은 상 승추세를 보여줌으로써 총생산성은 전국평균과 마찬가지로 정체상태에 가까운 상승세를 보 여주었다.
