Digital multifunction Printers has been mainly used to enhance the work efficiency through generation, storage and communication of electronic documents at private company and public sectors. International groups regarding to digital multifunction printers have been putting a great effort to specify security functional requirements against security threats and have been developing protection profiles for them. In this paper, we study on protection profiles about digital multifunction printers which have been importantly recognized in the international society. In addition, we analyze security functional requirements by surveying security threats targeted for digital multifunction printers. Lastly, we propose essential security functional requirements and security functions that should be reflected in the products for the vendors by analyzing the recent development trends of related protection profiles.

디지털 복합기 제품은 민간 기업 및 국가공공기관에서 전산문서 생성, 저장 및 소통을 통해 업무의 효율성을 증대시키기 위한 방안으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 디지털 복합기 관련 국제그룹에서는 보안위협에 대응할 수 있는 보안 기능요구사항을 명세하고 보호프로파일 문서형태로 개발하는데 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 복 합기 제품 대상 국제사회에서 중요하게 인식되고 있는 보호프로파일들을 연구하고자 한다. 또한, 디지털 복합기 제품 에서 발생할 수 있는 보안위협 조사를 통해, 보안기능요구사항을 분석하고자 한다. 마지막으로 최근 보호프로파일 개 발 동향 연구를 통해 업체 측면에서 개발 시 반영해야할 핵심 보안기능요구사항 및 보안기능을 제시하고자 한다.
