The growth of Korean churches has been great in numbers, despite the country's short history of christianity. However, we now have reached a point which we need to evolve to the next stage where the churches take care of the missionaries in the field all over the world while continue growing missionaries in numbers. The issues of trouble between missionaries problems while working with indigene partners, discontinued supports of home churches, immoralities, depression, expulsions in the mission fields have been prominent. Those problems are emphasizing the need and significance of Menber care for missionaries all over the world. Yet Korean churches still has taken a basic step of member care for the missionaries as korean churches have a little understanding on member care and Worldwide Mission Ministry in PCK has no specialist of member care and lack of member care system for missionaries. To overcome these kinds of weaknesses for mission, PCK have to build up the member care system for missionaries in Worldwide Mission Ministry. That is, PCK need a member care specialist in Worldwide Mission Ministry and must send resigned missionary who has well experienced in the mission field and fundamental knowledge of member care to take care of missionaries who are doing ministry in their mission field. Also, Worldwide Mission Ministry have to emphasize the meaning and need of a missionary member care in missionary training and education program, It is required for training and education of missionary to progress member care system well. PCK have to help deported missionaries from their mission field to recover their physical, psychological, spiritual conditions through continuous financial support, debriefing, MK system etc, and help them to decide a next plan for mission. PCK have to help missionaries' work and their life for the continuity of world mission by building up the member care system and flexible mission administration.

한국교회는 길지 않은 기독교 역사에도 불구하고 열정적인 선교의 헌신과 후원을 통해 많은 선교사의 양적 성장을 이루었다. 그러나 현재 우리는 이러한 양적 성장과 더불어 파송한 선교사를 얼마나 잘 관리하고 돌보고 있는가를 평가해야한다. 선교지에서 발생하고 있는 현지 사역자 또는 선교사들 간의 갈등, 후원비 중단, 도덕적 문제, 우울증, 추방 등의 문제들은 멤버케어의 필요성과 중요성을 더욱 강하게 드러내고 있다. 그러나 한국교회는 선교사 돌봄의 문제에 대해서는 여전히 초보적인 단계에 놓여있다. 그것은 한국교회의 멤버케어에 대한 인식부족 때문이며 세계선교부 안에 멤버케어를 위한 전문 인력의 부재와 멤버케어 시스템의 부족 때문이다. 이를 극복하기 위해 PCK는 선교사 멤버케어 시스템을 구축하여 세계선교부 내에 전문적인 멤버케어 실무자를 두고, 선교의 경험과 멤버케어의 기초를 갖춘 은퇴 선교사를 통해 순회하며 현장의 선교사들을 돌보도록 해야 한다. 또한 세계선교부는 선교사 파송훈련 때부터 멤버케어의 의미와 중요성을 교육해야 한다. 이러한 교육은 어느 정도 멤버케어가 진행되고 있어야 함을 전제로 한다. 추방된 선교사들을 위해서도 후원문제 해결, 디브리핑, 선교사자녀들을 위한 돌봄 시스템 등을 통해 추방으로 인해 겪게 되는 정신적, 신체적, 영적 스트레스 장애가 치유되고 사역의 다음 단계를 결정하도록 도와야 한다. PCK는 세계선교의 지속성을 위해 탄력 있는 선교행정과 멤버케어시스템구축을 통해 선교사들의 사역과 삶을 도와야 하고. 추방된 선교사들을 위한 위기관리시스템을 제대로 실행해야 할 것이다.
