In Korea, aged society(an aged society whose elderly population is over 14.4% of the total population) is expected to be in 2019 but It has already entered in 2017. In addition, aging is accelerating and the age of police officers is also an aging trend. This study will be based on a study conducted in 2008(A Study on the Preparatory Program for the Police Officer’s Retirement Focused on Factors of Life Plan) and will provide a decade comparative study. The purpose of this study is to examine the extent of changes in police officers' retirement preparation needs as of 2018. The research method is to conduct a decadal comparison survey based on the 2008 survey. The main contents are change of factors of life plan, degree of change in awareness of retirement preparation and retirement program. As a result, the recognition of retirement preparation and awareness of retirement preparation program increased in 2018 compared to 2008. Among the factors of life plan, interest in health and finance was still high, It is noteworthy that leisure factors have emerged as important. It was also important to prepare for retirement preparation separately, but I found that there was a great expectation for the retirement preparation program at work. However, there was no significant difference in perception of career development. This is due to the reality that police officers are not able to utilize their career in retirement life design. Therefore, there is a need to raise awareness of career development and take measures to utilize career after retirement. The direction of life is changing to improve individual satisfaction rather than improvement of human relations. There is a need for measures to improve individual health and leisure. Therefore, a plan should be prepared to stabilize the financial system in a way that can be recognized as a career after retirement. A retirement welfare system that is not yet fully. Therefore, continuing research is needed on retirement preparation education and retirement support measures. In the follow-up study, it is necessary to study the practicalization of practical retirement preparation program and the practical use of retirement preparation program.

우리나라의 고령화는 당초 노인 인구가 전체 인구의 14.4%로 증가하는 고령사회(aged society) 진입이 2019년이 될 것으로 예상되었으나, 2018년 현재 우리나라는 이미 고령사회로 진입하였으며, 고령화가 더욱 가속화되고 있는 추세이다. 경찰공무원의 경우도 마찬가지로 연령이 상향되고 있는 상황으로, 이 연구에서는 2008년 실시된 생애설계 요인별 경찰공무원의 퇴직준비 프로그램에 관한 연구를 바탕으로 10년 주기 비교 분석을 실시하고, 2018년 현재 경찰공무원의 퇴직준비에 대한 인식의 변화 정도를 알아보고자 한다. 연구 방법으로는 2008년 실시된 설문조사와 2018년 동일한 시기에 실시하는 10년 주기 설문조사를 통해 생애설계 요인 가운데 중요시 되는 요인의 변화 정도, 퇴직 준비에 대한 인식의 변화 정도, 퇴직준비 프로그램에 대한 인식의 변화에 대해 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 2008년보다 2018년도에서 퇴직준비에 대한 인식과 퇴직준비 교육프로그램에 대한 인식 정도가 증가한 것을 알 수 있었다. 생애설계 요인 가운데 건강과 재정에 대한 관심도는 여전히 높았으나 여가요인이 중요하게 부상된 부분이 중요한 특징이었다. 퇴직 준비 실시 주체에 대해서는 개인의 준비도 중요하지만 조직 즉, 직장에서 퇴직준비 프로그램을 실시하는 것에 대한 기대가 크다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 다만 경력개발에 대한 인지정도는 큰 차이가 없었다. 이는 현재 경찰공무원의 경력에 따른 퇴직 후 인생설계가 가능한 활용방안이 부족한 현실 때문인 것으로 풀이되며, 따라서 경력개발에 대한 인식을 제고하고, 퇴직 후 경력을 활용할 수 있는 방안을 강구할 필요성이 있다고 하겠다. 또한 삶의 방향이 인간관계의 개선보다는 개인의 만족도 향상으로 변화하고 있는 현재, 개인의 건강과 여가를 증진시킬 수 있는 방안이 필요하며, 이를 위한 재정 분야의 안정과 퇴직 후 자신의 경력을 인정받을 수 있는 방법으로 퇴직 후 삶에 대비하는 방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다. 따라서 후속연구에서는 현재 필요한 퇴직준비 프로그램의 구체화 방안, 그리고 실질적으로 필요한 경력활용 방안에 대한 연구가 필요하다고 생각되었다. 아직 충분히 마련되지 않은 퇴직복지 시스템의 일환으로 퇴직준비 교육과 퇴직 지원 방안에 대해 향후 지속적인 연구를 수행하고자 한다.
