This paper aims to discuss the linguistic features of Three Han's toponyms (country names Mainly in Mahan 馬韓 and Byeonjin 弁辰) which are based upon the historical records in San Guo zhi 三國志․Wei zhi 魏志·Dong Yi zhuan 東夷傳 by Chen shou 陳壽 in 280. To decipher the morphological and phonological features of toponyms, firstly the textual research of Dong Yi zhuan is thoroughly carried out by comparing the different versions of different periods in China. Secondly, the phonographs of the toponyms which were written in Chinese characters are selected by analyzing the morphological components which can be divided into Hunpyoso (훈표소, 訓表素, semantographic morpheme) and Eumpyoso (음표소, 音表素, phonographic morpheme). Thirdly, the distributions and percentages of consonants (initials) of the selected phonographs are quanti- tatively analyzed separately, meanwhile, the reconstructions of Old and Later Han Chinese, Middle Chinese are based upon Schuessler (2009). According to the result of quantitative approach, the diachronic development of Korean phonological system and Middle Sino-Korean system, Chinese historical phonological system, Ko-on, Go-on and Kan-on of Sino-Japanese, the consonant system of Three Han's toponyms which includes ‘**p-, **t-, **k-, **ts-, **-s-, **h-, **m-, **n-, **-ŋ, **-l-’ are deciphered. Alongside the result, the limitation of this study and the future research outlook on vowel and suprasegmental systems are put forward reasonably.

본고에서는 西晉의 陳壽가 편찬한 『三國志』에 있는 ｢卷三十 魏書三十 烏丸鮮卑東夷傳第三十 韓傳｣에 기록된 韓系 78개 국명을 언어학적으로 고찰하였다. 본 연구는 다음과 같이 진행되었다. 첫째, 『三國志』, 『通志』, 『欽定滿洲源流考』, 『文獻通考』, 『遼海叢書』에 있는 韓系 국명의 표기자를 정리하고 검토하였다. 둘째, 韓系 국명의 표기자들을 형태론적으로 분석하여 訓表素와 音表素로 나누었다. 셋째, 모든 韓系 국명의 음표소를 漢語 중고음을 기준으로 하여 계량적으로 분석하였다. 넷째, 한국 역사학계에 韓系 국명에 대한 지리적인 비정을 음운 연구의 기초로 삼고 가능한 음표소의 음운론적인 대응을 찾았으며 韓系 국명 음표소에 대해서는 Schuessler(2009)에 있는 後漢音을 기준으로 하여 漢語 上古音, 中古音과 결합시켜, 傳承韓國漢字音에 있는 반영 양상, 한국어의 음운사, 상대 일본어의 古音, 吳音, 漢音을 참조하여 ‘**p-, **t-, **k-, **ts-, **-s-, **h-, **m-, **n-, **-ŋ, **-l-’를 포함한 韓系 국명에 반영된 음운체계를 상정하였다. 본고의 연구 결과는 앞으로 이루어질 韓系 국명의 모음체계와 성조의 음운론적 분석과 해독을 위한 하나의 기초 작업으로 삼을 수 있을 것이다.
