The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the emotional intelligence of early adolescence and the reaction characteristics of DAS test, and to improve the use value and the efficiency of DAS test, which is the basic data for analyzing the detailed characteristics of emotional intelligence. The subjects of this study were 191 elementary 6th graders in an elementary school in Seoul, and self‐reporting test, emotional intelligence test and DAS test were conducted for the analysis. For the data analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed with SPSS 22.0 to examine the reaction characteristics shown in the DAS test. In the results of this study, first, of sub‐factors of emotional intelligence, the empathy was found to have a significantly positive relation with the emotional content of DAS test. Second, of stimulation drawing cards of the DAS test, the 'Boy,' 'Princess', 'Snake', 'Chick', and 'Volcano' were found to have a significantly positive correlation with sub‐factors of emotional intelligence. The above results suggest that the DAS test can be used as a useful drawing test for characterizing the detailed level of emotional intelligence of early adolescence.

본 연구의 목적은 초기청소년의 정서지능과 이야기 그림검사(DAS)에 나타나는 반응특성의 관계를 알아보고, 정서지능의 세부적 특징을 분석하는데 기초 자료가 되는 이야기 그림검사(DAS)의 활용가치 및 효용성을 높이는 것이다. 연구대상은 서울시 소재 I 초등학교 6학년 191명이며, 자기보고식 검사인 정서지능 검사와 이야기 그림검사(DAS)를 실시한 후 분석하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 22.0으로 상관분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하여 이야기 그림검사(DAS)에 나타난 반응특성을 살폈다. 연구결과는 첫째, 정서지능의 하위요인 중 감정이입은 이야기 그림검사(DAS)의 정서내용과 유의한 정적 관계를 보였다. 둘째, 이야기 그림검사(DAS)의 자극그림카드 중 ʻ남자아이ʼ, ʻ공주ʼ, ʻ뱀ʼ, ʻ병아리ʼ, ʻ화산ʼ은 정서지능의 하위요인과 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 이상의 결과에서, 이야기 그림검사(DAS)가 초기청소년의 정서지능의 세부 수준에 대하여 특징을 분석하는데 사용될 수 있는 유용한 그림검사로써 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다.
