In this paper, we investigate the Buddhism and the true nature chanting meditation. The purpose of the Buddha-chanting is the crown, and the crown is the manifestation of the original nature of the performer in the field of life. Buddha-name, Buddha's image, Buddha's virtue, Buddha-nature, Buddha-chanting examined the true nature chanting meditation which was advocated by two prepositions. First, Gutta and Cheonghwa examined the fact that the Buddhist priest was able to do the Buddhist priesthood through the Buddhist practice through the awareness of the flesh in the actual relation that can not be separated (inseparable) from the priest of the Buddha. The practice of Jodo is a faith, an origin, and a prayer. Next, we considered that the elementary Buddhist priest is divided into a method and a reality, and that the essence is the same. Finally, the actual practice of Cheonghwa advocated is to practice and acquire the Buddhist sutra, and apply it to our lives. The practitioner thought that he copied and wrote the "Bodhiupayamoon" and applied the contents to his daily life.

본 논문에서는 염불과 실상염불선에 대해서 고찰하였다. 염불의 목적은 왕생이고 왕생은 삶의 현장에서 수행자가 본래 진여불성을 발현하는 것이다. 그 방법에는 칭명(稱名)과 관상(觀像), 관상(觀想), 실상(實相) 등의 염불이 규봉종밀로부터 유래하였음을 고찰하여 두 선지식이 주창한 실상염불선의 체득에 대해서 살펴보았다. 먼저 금타와 청화는 염불수행의 목적인 왕생정토에 대해서 법계가 나와 불가분리(不可分離)한 연기적 관계 속에 동체라는 자각을 통해 염불수행을 통해서 왕생이 가능하다고 역설함을 고찰하였다. 정토신행은 믿음과 발원, 그리고 염불이다. 다음은 사종염불(四種念佛)에서 지향한 왕생은 방편과 실상으로 분류하고, 그 본질은 같은 것임을 고찰하였다. 끝으로 청화가 주창한 실상염불선의 실천과 체득은 바로 우리의 삶에 적용시켜 살아가는 것이다. 수행자는 ｢보리방편문｣을 베껴 쓰고 외워서 그 내용을 일상생활에 적용시켜 살아가는 것임을 고찰하였다.
