『Kubigaochitahanasi』is a short story published in a magazine titled『Sincho』on January of 1918. The story is based on the Sino-Japanese War against Kasyouji as the hero of a Chinese soldier。It ends with highlighting the word “human beings can not rely”.Kasyouji was summoned to war, and the place where it died was helped by the Japanese military sanitary soldier, and he led a serious life of captive life.　However, after the war ended, he became a villain , a wound in the neck broke and died in a bar in a fight with a drinking companion.Akutagawa shows that human beings are unreliable through people who have been victims of national public power of war.

本作品は大正七年一月の雑誌『新潮』に発表された芥川龍之介の短編である。物語は日清戦争を背景に中国人兵士である何小二を主人公にして｢人間はあてにならない｣という言葉を浮き彫りにして結ばれている。何小二は戦争に召集され、死ぬところを日本軍の衛生兵に助けられ、真面目に捕虜生活を送ったのである。だが戦争が終わってからは無頼漢になって、ある酒場で飲み仲間との喧嘩で首の傷口が破れて死んだのである。芥川は戦争という国家公権力の犠牲になった何小二を通して、人間はあてにならない存在だということを表している。
