The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of clinical nurse's emotional intelligence (EI) and core self-evaluation (CSE) on career commitment. Subjects were 462 clinical nurses at two general hospitals in Seoul, and survey was conducted from May to July, 2017. Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results showed that career commitment was correlated with EI or CSE (r=.28, p<.001; r=.34, p<.001). EI was correlated with CSE (r=.44, p<.001). CSE, spouse status, EI, position, subjective health status, and working department were identified as the factors affecting the clinical nurse's career commitment (R2=.21). To improve career commitment, it is necessary to assess clinical nurse's EI and CSE according to subjective health status, and to be considered marriage, position, and working department in developing a career convergence program.

본 연구의 목적은 임상간호사의 정서지능과 핵심자기평가가 경력몰입에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위함이다. 연구대상은 서울시 소재 2개 종합병원의 임상간호사 462명으로 2017년 5월부터 7월까지 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 자료 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, 다중회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 정서지능 또는 핵심자기평가와 경력몰입 간에(r=.28, p<.001; r=.34, p<.001), 정서지능과 핵심자기평가 간에(r=.44, p<.001) 정 상관관계가 있었다. 임상간호사의 경력몰입에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 핵심자기평가, 배우자 유무, 정서지능, 직위, 주관적 건강상태, 근무부서가 확인되었다(R2=.21). 따라서 경력몰입을 높이기 위해서는 임상간호사의 주관적 건강상태에 따라 정서지능과 핵심자기평가 정도를 파악하고, 결혼, 직위, 근무부서를 고려한 경력개발 융합프로그램 개발이 필요하다.
