The purpose of this study was to develop a patient safety nursing activities scale for clinical nurses and to verify validity and reliability it. A preliminary scale was developed through various processes and pilot study. Data were collected from 900 nurses at 28 hospitals selected by proportionate stratified sampling with 331 general hospitals nationwide. The final scale was a 4-point scale, consisting of 72 items in 10 domains. The construct validity was found to be appropriate by exploratory factor analysis and 70.3% of the variance in the total scale and over .74 of factor loading. There was a significant correlation between scale and patient safety culture (r=.52, p<.001) and Cronbach’s α was .99. This scale developed to measure patient safety nursing activities of clinical nurses was found to be reliable and valid and will be a useful tool in practical field.

본 연구는 임상간호사의 환자안전 간호활동 측정도구를 개발하여 도구의 타당도와 신뢰도를 검증하기 위해 수행되 었다. 문헌고찰, 포커스그룹 인터뷰, 내용타당도 검증 및 사전조사를 통해 예비도구를 개발하고, 전국 종합병원급 이상의 병원을 대상으로 비례층화표본추출 방법으로 선정된 28개 병원의 간호사를 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 도구의 구성타당 도는 탐색적 요인분석으로, 준거타당도는 환자안전문화 도구와 상관관계로 분석하였고, 내적일관도는 Cronbach's α로 검증 하였다. 개발된 도구는 최종 10영역 72문항으로 구성된 4점 총화평정척도였고, 탐색적 요인분석 결과 총 설명변량은 70.3% 이었으며, 요인적재량은 .74이상이었다. 본 도구는 환자안전문화 측정도구와 유의한 상관관계(r=.51, p<.001)를 나타냈으며 Cronbach’s α는 .99였다. 결론적으로 임상간호사의 환자안전 간호활동을 측정하기 위해 개발된 본 도구는 타당도와 신뢰도 가 검증되었고 실무현장에서 유용한 도구가 될 것이다.
