Everyone instinctively has his or her own desire of self-expression, and wants to convey his or her thoughts or emotions to others through the self-expression. Because children cannot show their emotions proficiently as parents do, however, they exhibit their inner world through play or fine arts activity. Children's activities of fine arts are the way of self-expression. In this sense, the fine art education of children can be significant for the growth of children. Today's arts education, however, continues to maintain the other-directed art lessons which focus only on factual expressions and have the limits in material; children are losing interests and confidence about pictures. Creative and interesting learning of fine arts will give children joy and vitality, and leads to active and positive attitudes. Also, the inventive art study has the purposes of enhancing concentration, accomplishment volition, team spirit, endurance and emotional cultivation. The learning can be a good help to emotional treatment of children. The creative learning can make children grope for inventive problem-solving methods when they are making or manipulating something; these lessons have the creational value which can express their own ideas or feelings. The study focused on children who are in the age of 8 to 9; linking to material, it applied creative arts program to the children and analyzed the results. First, for theoretical backgrounds, the definition, developmental stages, characteristics, and the significance of creative arts education through literature study. Second, based on the facts above, the paper recognizes the need of children's fine arts education and analyzes the problems, the perception of arts and actual situation of fine arts curricula for lower grades(first and second grades in elementary school) to find out some tasks of children's arts education. Third, the paper looks at some galleries which conduct creative fine arts education in Korea, and investigates domestic children's galleries through data research, visit research, and analysis of related research paper and guide materials of certain galleries. Total 3 galleries were selected as the ones in which creative children's education programs take place actively. Analyzing the education programs of the galleries, the paper applied them to actual classes. Fourth, with the case study above, it applied to children's arts class and analyzed the result. Children showed positive and active attitudes in consecutive arts activities, as they get interested in arts by contacting various materials; they show enhanced accomplishment desire and positive attitude toward arts.

보고, 느끼기, 미술작품의 제작, 미술대상에 관한 지식과 이해, 미술작품의 평가라는 네 가지 측면으로 구성 된다. 이러한 미술 교육 프로그램을 통하여 유아는 심미적 성격과 창의적 성격의 특성을 유지하고 발전시켜 조화로운 인격형성을 하게 된다. 유아기는 인성을 발달 시켜야 하는 중요한 시기이다. 이 시기에 인성발달을 위한 좋은 매체는 자연이다. 유아는 자연과 만나고 교감하며 자연스럽게 인성을 발달시키고 아름다움을 표현하는 미적 감각을 배우면서 전인적으로 성장한다. 본 연구는 자연미술활동이 유아의 정 서지능에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보는 연구이다. 몇몇의 연구물들이 자연을 활용한 미술활동이 정서의 순환에 도움이 된다고 제시하고 있다. 이에 본 연구자는 자연재료를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 정서지능에 실제적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다고 가정하고 접근하였다. 본 연 구는 자연재료를 활용한 미술프로그램이 유아의 정서에 미치는 영향에 대해 실증 분석하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구에서 밝히고자 하는 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연재료를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 인식과 표현에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 둘째, 자연재료를 활 용한 미술활동이 유아의 정서의 반영적 조절에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 위와 같은 연구문제를 풀어나가는데 있어서 보다 정확한 결과 를 위해 당진시 소재의 D어린이집 만6세 햇님반 24명으로 비교집단과 실험집단에 유아를 대상으로 각각 12명씩 선정하여 총 18회기에 걸쳐 진행해 나갔다. 실험집단은 주1회 자연재료를 활용한 미술프로그램을 적용하였으며, 비교집단은 일반재료를 활용한 미술프로그램을 주1회 적용하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 연구도구는 이영자ㆍ이종수ㆍ신은수(2002)가 개발한 <교사평정에 의한 유아용 정서 지능 평가도 구>이다. 이 도구를 이용하여 비교집단과 실험집단에 각 각의 다른 미술프로그램을 실시 한, 전 후로 유아 정서지능의 차이가 통계적으 로 유의한지를 검토하기 위하여 표준편차를 산출하고 유의수준이 a₌.05로 설정을 한 t검증을 사용하였다. 사전검사결과 두 집단은 유의 미한 차이가 없는 동질한 집단임이 입증되었다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연재료를 활용한 미술프로그램은 유 아의 자신의 정서인식과 정서표현, 타인의 이해에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 이 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단이 정서인식 표현능력에 있어 비교 집단에 비해 통계적으로 유의미한 증가를 보였다. 둘째, 자연재료를 활용한 미술프로그램은 유아의 정서의 반영적 조절에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 자연재료를 활용한 미술프로그램을 실시한 실험집단이 정서의 반영적 조절에 있어서 비교집단에 비해 통계적으로 유의미한 증가 를 보였다. 실제 본 미술 프로그램을 유아들에게 적용 한 바 자연과 함께 하는 미술에 유아들이 큰 흥미를 가졌으며 정서 지능의 발달 에 영향을 준다는 사실을 알 수 있었고, 자연의 소중함과 자연과 더불어 사는 자세를 습득할 수 있었으며 조형의식과 재료인식의 폭을 넓힐 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 나타난 결과는 자연재료를 활용한 프로그램이 유아들의 정서지능과 조형활용이 긍정적인 결과를 확인 해줬다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 본 연구는 전도식기유아를 대상으로 자연재료와 연관시켜 창의적인미술 프로그램을 개발하여 유아에게 적용해보고 그 결과를 분석해 보았다. 첫째, 논문의 이론적 배경에는 선행연구를 통하여 유아 미술 교육의 정의, 발달단계, 특 징과 창의적 미술교육의 중요성을 알아본다. 둘째, 자연재료를 활용한 유아미술 교육의 필요성을 인식하고 프로그램 계획해 본다. 셋째, 유아들은 다양한 재료를 접해봄으로써 흥미와 호기심을 느끼게 되고 이어 연속적인 미술활동에서도 적극적이고 능동적인 자세를 보였 다. 이를 통해 높은 성취의욕을 보였으며 미술을 긍정적으로 받아들이는 태도를 보였다.
