The purpose of this study is to find growth factors and improvement plans of local crimes in the promotion of the marina port industry. In particular, growth factors of local crimes were analyzed in order to find improvement plans. To achieve that, first, this study analyzed how experts and non-experts perceived construct factors and looked into their differences depending on personal characteristics. Secondly, the problems of the factors of local crimes were defined. Thirdly, based on the growth factors of the marina port industry, the improvement plans of local crimes were drawn. As the research on the growth factors and improvement plans of local crimes in the promotion of the marina port industry, this study prepared a questionnaire composed of items about the growth of the marina port industry, the evaluation of local crimes, and satisfaction with crime measures. Study subjects were divided into questionnaire participation group and into non-participation group. After questionnaire copies were collected, the copies with insincere and unreliable answers were excluded. Effective samples were codified in accordance with coding guidelines and then were entered individually in computer. Windows SPSS/PC+18.0 Version was applied to process the collected data according to data analysis purpose. For data analysis, some statistical methods were used. More specifically, as a method for examining growth factors of local crimes and improvement plans for the marina port industry, one-way ANOVA was used.
