The aim of this study is to analyze the comparative evaluation of quality of life in Daegu and Gyeongbuk region using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method, making suggestions according to the results, and providing basic data for studies about quality of life. Most of the existing domestic studies have been conducted with analysis on data for just one year, but this study investigated two years of the respect 2011 and 2016 and compared and analyzed it with 16 metropolitan cities and provinces. And the entire section was classified into five sectors and for the objective indices, by reviewing the previous literature and FGI and the final 29 indices were chosen. Using AHP method, the weight values by section and sub-index were analyzed and applied. Standardized indices among variables were calculated to raise feasibility of the analysis. In addition, with the objective statistical analysis, the survey research focusing on experts, the level of quality of life in 16 metropolitan cities and provinces was explored in professional level, and the data was compared with the objective indices. As a result of the analysis, for simple and weight general standardized indices on quality of life, Daegu city ranked the 14th of 16 metropolitan cities and provinces in 2016, raising one step from the 15th in 2011, while Gyeongbuk province ranked the 7th in 2016, descending three steps from the 4th in 2011 and showing the middle standing. While Daegu region showed that economic and employment sectors and environmental and communal sectors were considerably low, and Gyeongbook region showed that welfare and health sectors and environmental and communal sectors were low. Therefore, Daegu city should develop its considerably vulnerable economic and employment sectors, and environmental and communal sectors, while Gyeongbuk province should develop considerably lower welfare and health sectors and environmental and communal sectors.

본 연구의 목적은 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)기법을 이용하여 대구경북지역의 삶의 질을 16개 광역시·도와 비교하여 평가하고 그에 따른 정책적 시사점을 제시하여 대구광역시와 경상북도의 향후 정책수립에 도움을 주고자 하는데 있다. 국내에서 연구된 연구는 거의 대부분 1개 연도의 자료를 가지고 분석하였는데, 이 연구는 2011년과 2016년 2개 연도를 시계열적으로 연구하고 16개 광역시도별로 비교분석하였다. 전체영역을 5개 영역으로 구분하고, 객관적 지표를 선행연구의 검토와 FGI를 통해 최종 29개 지표를 선정하였고, AHP기법을 활용하여 영역별, 세부지표별 가중치를 분석하여 적용하였으며, 변수들 간의 표준화지수(Z Score)를 계산하여 비교분석함으로써 분석의 타당성을 제고하였다. 또한 객관적 통계자료 분석과 더불어 전문가 중심의 실태조사를 통해 16개 광역시도별 삶의 질 수준을 전문가중심으로 조사하여 객관적 지표와 비교 분석하였다. 분석결과 삶의 질에 관한 단순 및 가중 종합표준화지수를 보면, 대구지역의 순위는 전국 16개 광역시도 중 2011년 15위에서 2016년 14위로 약간 상승하였고, 경북지역은 2011년 4위에서 2016년 7위로 약간 하락하여 중간수준의 상태를 보였다. 대구지역은 경제·고용부문과 환경·공동체부문이 상당히 낮은 수준이고, 경북지역은 복지·보건부문과 환경·공동체부문이 특히 부진하였다. 따라서 대구지역은 상대적으로 취약한 경제·고용부분과 환경·공동체부문을 발전시키고, 경북지역은 복지·보건부문과 환경·공동체부문을 상대적으로 더욱 발전시켜야 할 것이다.
