The purpose of this research is to propose a plan to organize the contents of ‘Learning Tool Korean’ education for elementary school students. For this purpose, this study first analyzed the concept of ‘Learning Tool Korean’ in ‘Korean as a Second Language Curriculum(revised in 2017)’ and looked at the properties of the proposed language materials. Learning Tool Korean is a language that is required for general academic activities, with the exception of professional content and concepts. These use of Academic Korean is related to ‘Learning Tool Korean Functions’ and ‘learning context’. The Learning Tool Korean functions were established through the analysis of learning skills, strategies and basic thinking functions. The ‘context of problem solving’ and ‘context of procedural activity’ were identified through the textbook analysis of the learning context. Based on these discussions, this study presented, in the result, a model examples of communicative task for Learning Tool Korean education.
