The purpose of this study was to find out the implications of elementary education through the study of Langevelt's learning concept from the students' learning in Ha’s teaching. Langevelt said, "Child learn as become familiar with things that are unfamiliar, and thus experience the strange world as if they are adventure and make their own meaning in the process." From this point of view, two of teaching selected were divided into the before teaching, in teaching, after teaching and recorded Ha's thoughts and actions. Based on this, the results of the review were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, we found that student had more opportunities to approach the world of things and learned more, and found that if they knew that they could relate to their lives, they would be more aggressive in giving their own meaning. This implies implications for elementary education. First of all, elementary school teachers should develop one's teaching. Second, the elementary school teachers should be able to capture subtle changes in the pedagogical situation so that students can venture into a strange world. Third, the elementary school teacher must recognize and use the complex knowledge associated with the student's learning.

본 연구는 하 교사의 수업을 대상으로 이 수업에서 학생들이 학습했는가를 랑에펠트의 ‘학습’ 관점에서 살펴보고, 이를 통해 알 수 있는 초등교육에의 시사점을 발견하는 것을 목적으로 했다. 랑에펠트는 어린이는 낯선 것을 친숙하게 만들며 학습하는데, 이를 위해 낯선 세계를 모험하듯 경험하고 이 과정에서 자신만의 의미부여(sense-making)를 한다고 보았다. 이러한 관점에서 하 교사의 수업 중 두 개의 수업 사례를 선정하고, 이 수업의 전·중·후를 구분하여 하 교사의 생각과 행동을 기록하고 학생이 학습했는가를 성찰한 결과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 학생이 사물의 세계 에 다가갈 수 있는 기회를 충분히 줄수록 더 학습했으며, 학생이 자신의 삶과 연관 지을 수 있다 는 것을 알면 자신만의 의미부여를 더 적극적으로 한다는 사실을 발견하였다. 이를 통해 첫째, 초등교사는 수업을 개발해야 한다. 둘째, 초등교사는 학생들이 낯선 세계를 모험할 수 있도록 교육적 상황에 대한 미묘한 변화를 포착할 줄 알아야 한다. 셋째, 초등교사는 학생의 학습과 연관되는 복합적 지식을 인식하고 사용해야 한다는 초등교육에의 시사점을 도출하였다.
