The purpose of this study is to investigate the moderating effect of online-offline social support on the relationship between academic stress and school adjustment of high school students. The 382 subjects of the study were selected from seniors and juniors in high school in Chang-won. Data were analyzed using the SPSS Statistics 23.0 program. For data analysis, Cronbach α, Pearson’s correlation analysis, Hierarchical regression analysis were used. The results were as follows: First, A negative correlation was shown between academic stress and school adjustment. A positive correlation was shown between online-offline social support and school adjustment. Second, On the relationship between academic stress and school adjustment, the moderating effects of online social support from father/mother and offline social support from father/mother were significant respectively. It could be concluded that online and offline social support help high school students to reduce their academic stress and thus adapt themselves more to school life, and in particular that social support of parents is most influential to students′ adaptability to school life. It is hoped that the results of this study would be useful data for prevention and treatment of students′ inadaptability to school life.
