Lehman shock occurred in 2008 has brought a huge impact on the global economy and Japanese economy also suffered a serious blow. In particular, a lot of dispatched workers have been fired since Lehman shock and some fired workers who became homeless have been sparked by social problems. The mass layoffs of the dispatched workers occurred after Lehman shock and there were the biggest layoffs in the manufacturing sector. The structural change of the dispatched labor market have occurred since Lehman shock and it does not seem like a temporary shock as well. Therefore, we suggested the three causes of the structural change in the dispatched labor market of Japan after Lehman shock. First, deregulation to the dispatched workers have changed to the stricker regulations since Lehman shock. Second, there were many substitutes of the dispatched workers. Third, the companies were reluctant to use the dispatched workers because public opinion on the dispatched labor market have worsened since Lehman shock.

2008년 발생한 리먼쇼크는 전세계에 엄청난 파급효과를 가져왔으며 일본경제 또한 심각한 타격을 입었다. 특히 리먼쇼크 이후 파견노동자들이 대량으로 해고되었으며, 해고된 노동자들이 노숙인으로 전락하는 등 사회적인 문제로까지 비화되었다. 리먼쇼크에 의한 파견노동자 대량해고는 제조업을 중심으로 발생하였으며, 균형임금의 하락을 동반하는 기업측의 노동수요 감소의 결과였다. 그리고 이러한 변화는 일시적인 것이 아니라 불가역성을 가진 구조적인 것이었다. 일본의 파견노동시장에 이러한 구조적 변화가 발생한 이유는 규제완화 일변도였던 파견노동자법이 리먼쇼크 이후에 규제강화로 돌아선 점, 그리고 파견노동을 대체할 수 있는 다른 고용형태가 존재하고 있었던 점, 마지막으로 파견노동에 대한 여론 악화로 기업이 파견노동의 사용을 꺼려하였다는 점 등을 생각해 볼 수 있다.
