This study conducted a survey of new students at a specialized technical high school in Daegu in order to examine the difference in academic performance by admission type. A comparative analysis was also made of the correlation between the admission factors of special admissions for job seekers and academic performance. Analysis of the impact of the admission factors of special admissions for job seekers on performance was also carried out, with the analyzed results to function as basic materials necessary to not only complement admission factors of special admissions for job seekers but also to create new developments for the following year’s admission process. The outcomes of the study are as follows. First, there was a statistically meaningful difference in terms of academic performance by admission type. Moreover, the results of the post-entry analysis indicated that there was a meaningful difference in all three types. Second, the academic performance of new students for 2016 showed a low correlation in terms of attendance and occupational basic competency assessment; rather, it displayed a relatively high correlation in terms of scores for the curriculum. While academic performance of new students for 2017 suggested a low correlation in scores for the curriculum, it showed a relatively high correlation in occupational basic competency assessment. Third, in 2016 and 2017, the admission factors of special admissions for job seekers indicated explanatory ability, with findings of 26.4% and 22.3%, respectively relation to academic performance.

이 연구는 입학전형별 학업성취도의 차이를 검증하고 취업희망자 특별전형의 전형요소가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향력을 파악하기 위해 수행되었다. 이에 이 연구에서는 2016～2017학년도 대구지역 A 특성화고 입학생을 대상으로 입학전형별(취업희망자 특별전형, 일반전형, 기타특별전형) 학업성취도의 차이를 검증하였다. 또한, 취업희망자 특별전형의 전형요소와 학업성취도간의 상관관계를 비교·분석하고 취업희망자 특별전형의 전형요소가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향력을 분석하였다. 분석된 결과는 차기년도 입학전형에서 취업희망자 특별전형의 전형요소를 보완하거나 새롭게 개발할 때, 필요한 기초자료로 활용될 것이다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 입학전형별학업성취도에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 사후분석 결과, 취업희망자 특별전형-일반전형, 취업희망자 특별전형-기타특별전형, 일반전형-기타특별전형에서 모두 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 게다가 취업희망자 특별전형으로 선발된 학생들의 학업성취도가 일반전형과 기타특별전형으로 선발된 학생들에 비해 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 취업희망자 특별전형의 전형요소와 학업성취도의 상관관계는 입학년도에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 2016학년도 입학생의 학업성취도는 출결성적과직업기초능력평가에서 낮은 상관관계를 보였으며, 교과성적과는 다소 높은 상관관계를 나타냈다. 반면, 2017학년도 입학생의 학업성취도는 교과성적과는 낮은 상관관계를 보였으며, 직업기초능력평가와는 다소 높은 상관관계를 나타냈다. 셋째, 취업희망자 특별전형의 전형요소가 학업성취도에영향을 미쳤다. 2016～2017학년도 취업희망자 특별전형의 전형요소들은 학업성취도에 대해 각각26.4%, 22.3%의 설명력을 보였다. 전형요소들이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향력을 비교해 보니, 2016 학년도에는 교과성적(β =.338)이 제일 크고, 그 다음으로 직업기초능력평가(β =.180), 출결성적(β =.154) 순이었다. 2017학년도에는 직업기초능력평가(β =.338)가 교과성적(β =.257) 보다 학업성취도에 미치는 영향력이 크게 나타났다.
