In recent years, the lack of community consciousness has continuously increased the problems of inter-floor noise, parking lot, and companion dogs. This article is a study on the growth stage of community in order to restore and settle community culture in apartment. Therefore, this study aims to provide implications by analyzing the progress of community development step by step. The research method is the case study method which is one of the qualitative research methodology which takes two apartments of Dream apartment and child care apartment. In the case of two apartments, the growth stage of apartment village community is suggested as village community formation stage, strengthening stage, and self - government stage. The village community formation phase is the stage of forming a neighborhood community that is the cornerstone for starting village community activities, Strengthening stage is strengthening village community through administrative and financial support by combining with administrative subject. As a result of the concerns and efforts of the residents for the sustainable village community, the autonomous phase was found to be the stage where autonomous activity was initiated by the activities of village cooperatives in the research case.

최근 아파트에서는 공동체 의식의 결여로 층간소음·주차장·반려견 문제 등이 지속적으로 증가하고 있어, 많은 사회문제를 양산하고 있다. 이에 본 글은 아파트에서 공동체 문화를 회복하고 정착시키기 위한 실천적 대안으로 아파트마을의 공동체 성장을 단계별로 분석한 연구이다. 그리고 아파트 마을의 공동체 발전과정을 단계별로 분석함으로써 공동체 문화를 도시 공간에 정착시키고 실현하는 데 기여할 수 있는 시사점을 구체적으로 제공할 수 있어 의의가 있다. 본 연구방법은 드림아파트·육아아파트의 두 아파트를 사례로 하는 질적연구방법론 중에서 사례연구방법을 활용하였다. 두 아파트의 사례를 통해 아파트 마을공동체 성장 단계를 마을공동체 기반조성단계, 역량강화단계, 자치발전단계로 제시하였다. 마을공동체 기반조성단계는 마을공동체 활동을 시작하기 위한 초석이 되는 동네공동체를 형성하여 활동하는 단계이며, 역량강화단계는 행정주체와 결합함으로써 행정적·재정적 지원을 통한 마을공동체 강화하는 단계이다. 자치발전단계는 지속가능한 마을공동체를 위한 주민들의 고민과 노력의 결과로, 연구사례에서는 마을협동조합의 활동으로 자치활동을 시작한 단계로 나타났다.
