The purposes of this study are to configure the jobs required for the elementary school career specialist teachers and to measure the required and current level of for each job perceived by elementary school career specialist teachers, analyze their educational needs, and identify priority jobs. For these purposes, the investigator analyzed previous studies on the jobs of elementary school career specialist teachers, put them together, and had their face validity tested by revising and supplementing them according to the reviews of experts. The major findings led to the following conclusions: First, 15 jobs were derived by analyzing and compiling prior studies and organizing them to appropriate levels at elementary school education field with the advice of career education expert. Secondly, there were differences in their educational needs according to their general characteristics, depending on their jobs. Thirdly, t-test results show that there were statistically significant differences between the required and current level across 15 jobs at the significance probability level of .05. The Locus for Focus modeling results reveal that the HH section contained 3 jobs. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested as follows. First, it is required to study continuously. Second, the training program and data should be structured in consideration of the educational needs of jobs. Third, the school administrators, general teachers, and parents' perceptions of the jobs of career specialists are confirmed. Fourth, research methods should be developed for analyzing the educational needs that can complement the disadvantages of the existing analysis methods. Finally, if a qualitative study is conducted for deriving jobs of career specialist, it will be a meaningful study.

이 연구의 목적은 초등 진로전담교사에게 요구되는 직무를 구성하고 각 직무에 대하여 초등 진 로전담교사가 인식하는 필요수준과 현재수준을 측정해서 교육요구도를 분석하여 우선순위를 갖는 직무를 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 초등 진로전담교사의 직무에 관한 선행연구를 분석하여 직무를 종합하였고 교사의 일반적 특성에 따른 교육요구도 차이를 분석하였으며 직무별 교육요구도를 분석 하였다. 이 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 선행연구를 통하여 초등 진로전담교사의 직무 초안을 작성하고 진로교육 전문가들의 자문 을 구해 최종적으로 15개의 직무를 도출하였다. 둘째, 교사의 일반적 특성에 따른 교육요구도 차 이는 직무에 따라 상이했다. 셋째, 직무에 대한 교육요구도 분석을 위한 t 검정 결과 15개 직무의 필요수준과 현재수준의 차이가 통계적으로 유의미했고, The Locus for Focus 모델 결과 HH분 면에 ‘진학 정보 제공 및 준비지원’과 ‘진로진학관련 학생 심화 상담 운영 및 지원학생 상담’이 나타 났다. 넷째, 초등 진로전담교사의 직무 중 최우선순위는 ‘진학 정보 제공 및 준비지원’, 차우선순위 는 ‘진로진학관련 학생 심화 상담 운영 및 지원학생 상담’, ‘학부모 대상 진로교육 연수’로 나타났다 이와 같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 제언을 하면 첫째, 초등 진로전담교사의 직무에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요하다. 둘째, 교육요구도가 높은 초등 진로전담교사의 직무를 고려하여 연수프로그램과 자료를 구성해야 한다. 셋째, 진로전담교사의 직무에 대한 학교행정가, 일반교사, 학부모의 인식을 확인한다. 넷째, 기존 분석방법의 단점을 보완할 수 있는 교육요구도 분석을 위한 연구방법이 개발 되어야 한다. 마지막으로, 진로전담교사의 직무도출을 위한 질적 연구가 이루어진다면 의미 있는 연구가 될 것이다.
