Now these days we have seriously limited that the investigation of crime scene in the area because the crime is not only the area's conurbation, the more sophisticated, mechanization, and rapidly movable another area but also the scene of spot and the stolen goods rid off place are too much far a way from crime scene, an expeditionary group of robbery and burglary, hit-and-run homicide, aerial killer in the nationwide. accordingly, we need to that the cooperate investigation with each police station and nationwide for an exclusive controling united investigation, because we have to rapidly tracing the perpetrator and setting the case. In this study's we are face to municipal police are, so we have to reviewing the "what is the cooperate investigation"? "what is the problem of cooperate investigation"? and we have to find out the case of outside system, then we have to fitting the our system and also proposed to new model for cooperate investigation.

최근 우리 사회에서 일어나고 있는 범죄는 날로 광역화, 기동화, 과학화, 지능화될 뿐만 아니라, 범죄지와 장물처분지의 원격화, 원정 강절도단의 속출, 전국에 걸쳐 연쇄적으로 발생하는 강력 범죄로 인하여 지역단위의 발생지중심수사는 그 한계성에 직면하고 있다. 따라서 범인검거 및 사건해결을 보다 신속하고 원활하게 하기 위해서는 발생 지관서외에 인접관서 또는 전국경찰관서 상호간에 수사의 전반적인 과정을 긴밀히 협력할 수 있는 통합된 강력한 공조수사체제가 절실히 요구되고 있다. 본 연구는 자치경찰시대를 맞아 공조수사란 무엇이며, 현행 공조수사에는 어떤 문제점이 있는가를 알아보고, 외국의 사례를 살펴서, 우리 실정에 맞는 공조수사의 개선방안을 제시해 보고자 한다.
