Journal of the International Network for Korean Language and Culture 15-1, This study deals with the design of parental capacity enhancement programs for married women immigrants. To conduct this research, a questionnaire survey method was adopted. Using the data, the author conducted needs analysis and drew some implications regarding architectural orientation and the principles of programs. The results of the survey revealed that married women immigrants had a positive identity of their families and children, but they had some difficulties in terms of the education of their children. The results also identified that the focus of parental capacity enhancement programs for married women immigrants should be placed on the provision of content about children's educational issue. Information concerning Korean education systems and subjects relevant to children's curriculums should be provided. In so doing, it would be appropriate to include traditional fairy tales and educational activities related to those stories in the curriculum of the programs. It is also crucial to include their traditional fairy tales. The formation of positive self-identification about family and children should always be given special consideration in designing parental capacity enhancement programs. Finally, the programs need to be designed in a way that guarantee continuous and varied cultural experiences. (Hansung University)

이 연구는 여성결혼이민자의 부모역량 강화 교육 프로그램의 설계를 위한 연구이다. 여성결혼이민자들을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 통해 요구분석을 실시하고, 프로그램 설계를 위한 방향성과 내용 구성의 원리 등의 시사점을 도출한 후 실제 프로그램 설계 방안을 제언하는 것이 본고의 목적이다. 설문조사 결과 여성결혼이민자들은 자신의 가족과 자녀에 대해 긍정 적인 정체감을 지니고 있지만, 자녀 교육 문제는 어렵게 생각하고 있었다. 분석 결과를 토대로 본고에서 도출한 시사점은 다음과 같다. 여성결혼이민자의 부모역량 강화 교육 프로그램은 자녀교육 관련 내용에 가장 중점을 두어야 한다. 한국의 교육제도에 대한 이해와 자녀의 교과 학습에 대한 이해를 세부 내용으로 구성해야 한다. 또한, 동화나 이야기를 활용한 교육 활동도 다양하게 시도되어야 한다. 한국 동화는 물론 여성결혼이민자의 모국의 이야기를 활용할 다양한 교수-학습 방법을 모색하는 것도 중요하다. 아울러, 가족과 자녀에 대해 긍정적 정 체감을 형성할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 마지막으로 다양한 문화 체험 활동을 시도할 필요가 있다. 지속적인 문화 체험 프로그램의 개발과 발전을 위한 노력이 있어야 할 것이다. 마지막으로 이상의 논의 결과를 바탕으로 실제 여성결혼이민자의 부모역량 강화 교육 프로그램을 설계해 보았다. 전체 프로그램을 6개의 하위 영역으로 나누고 각 영역별 세부 내용과 교육 목표를 설정한 후, 실제 현장에서 활용가능한 주차별 프로그램 내용을 구성해 제언하였다.
