The Character of Anti-Ideology in Nunmuljeoteun Dumangang This paper analyzed non-ideology, that is, anti-ideology in Nunmuljeoteun Dumangang by Hongil Choi, which is distinctive from two novels; Bukgando by Sugil Ahn, and Gonaneui Nyeondae by Gunjeon Lee. In analysis, it was suggested that Nunmuljeoteun Dumangang focused on being free from ideology or being anti-ideology unlike Bukgando or Gonaneui Nyeondae, which were about the history of Korean migration; and by blocking historical time and truth and returning to the world of folk and ethnic customs, it attempted to being anti-ideology. Although Nunmuljeoteun Dumangang shows lack of novel format and solid structure since it is more of a folk tale, its attempt to break out from excessive ideology and diagraming in Bukgando or Gonaneui Nyeondae, which described the history of ethnic migrants and to show their true life should be counted for its significance.

본고에서는 안수길의 <북간도>와 리근전의 <고난의 년대>라는 두 편의 소설과는 구별되는 최홍일의 <눈물젖은 두만강>의 무이념성 즉 탈이념성을 중심으로 작품을 분석하였다. 그 결과 <눈물젖은 두만강>이 우리 민족 이주사를 다룬 <북간도>나 <고난의 년대>와는 달리 이념성에서 벗어나기 내지는 탈이념화를 고집하였으며 그러한 탈이념화의 방법으로 역사적 시간과 역사적 현실을 차단하고 민담의 세계와 민속의 세계로 회귀하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 <눈물젖은 두만강>이 민담형식으로서 소설적 형식이 미달되고 구성적으로 파탄을 보이고 있지만, 민족 이주사를 다룬 <북간도>나 <고난의 년대>가 안고 있던 이념의 과잉과 도식화에서 벗어나고자 한 점과 그를 통해 이주민들의 진솔한 삶의 모습을 보여줄 수 있었다는 점은 그 의의가 충분히 긍정되어야 한다.
