Recently, various attendance check systems using wireless communication have been developed. Among them, a beacon, which is a short range wireless communication device based on BLE protocol, is attracting much attention. Previously developed beacon-based attendance check systems were convenient to use and reduced attendance time, but still could not prevent illegal attendance. In this paper, we design and implement attendance check system combining beacons and biometrics. The proposed system saves the time while solving the troubles of the instructor who had to confirm the attendance manually by using the beacon, and prevents illegal attendance by performing user authentication through fingerprint recognition or face recognition. In addition, by controlling the intensity and number of beacons, it prevents illegal attendance from outside the classroom, and guarantees the reliability and fairness of judging of attendance through real-time interactions between students and instructors.

최근 근거리 무선 통신을 이용한 다양한 출석인증 시스템들이 개발되고 있다. 그 중 블루투스 BLE 프로토콜 기반 의 근거리 무선통신 장치인 비콘이 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 기존에 개발된 비콘 기반 출석인증 시스템들은 사용하기 편리하고 출석에 소요되는 시간도 줄여주었지만, 여전히 대리 출석이 가능하다는 단점을 가지고 있었다. 본 논문에 서는 비콘과 생채인식을 결합한 출석인증 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 제안 시스템은 비콘을 통해 기존 일일이 수 작업으로 출석을 확인해야 했던 강사의 번거로움을 해결하면서 시간도 아끼고, 지문인식 또는 얼굴인식을 통해 사용 자 인증을 수행함으로써 대리 출석도 방지한다. 또한 비콘의 세기 및 개수 조정으로 강의실 외부에서의 부정 출석을 방지하며, 학생과 강사 간의 실시간 연동을 통해 출결 판정의 신뢰성 및 공정성을 보장한다.
