A Study of Cooperation and Resistance of Manchurian-Korean Literature-towards Japanese Imperialism- Aspects of cooperation and resistance of Manchurian-Korean literature towards Japanese Imperialism have distinctiveness in part, unlike other Korean literature. Only through recognition of men of letters on mask-like character of Manchuria and relationship among Japanese, Korean and Chinese; restriction on journalism by Japan and cultural resistance by using mother tongue of Korean men of letters who were given limited space in publication compared to Japanese and Chinese; and right understanding on multi-layered semantic structure of literature, we can identify aspects of cooperation and resistance of Manchurian-Korean literature towards Japanese Imperialism. Unless we consider external and internal situation of literature as a whole, there may be two extremes that either deny mainstream Manchurian-Korean literature and its positive values; or accept pro-Japanese works indiscreetly.

재만조선인 문학에 있어서의 일제에 대한 협력과 저항의 양상은 조선 국내의 문학과는 달리 일부 특수성을 가진다. 만주국의 가면적인 성격과 일 조 한 세민족의 관계에 대한 문인들의 인식과정, 일제의 언론통제와 일본인, 중국인에 비해 발표지면의 제한을 받았던 조선인문인들의 모국어 창작에 의한 문화적 저항, 문학의 다층적 의미구조 등에 대한 올바른 이해를 전제로 할 때만이 재만조선인 문학에 있어서의 대일(對日) 협력과 저항의 기본 양상을 정확하게 파악할 수 있다. 이러한 문학의 외적, 내적 상황을 종합적으로 고려하지 않는다면 재만조선인 문학의 주류와 그 긍정적인 가치를 부정하거나 친일적인 작품을 무분별하게 수용하는 양 극단으로 치닫게 될 것이다.
