This study analyzed the characteristics of the contribution to readers to check the participation of local newspapers at the height of the paper crisis in the social media period. We analyzed themes, forms, direction, occupations, and interviews with reporters in the provincial newspaper in Gyeongnam Province. As a result of the research, various features appeared in the local newspaper. First, more than half of the local newspaper 's own contributions were focused on social and administrative areas. On the other hand, overseas and inter-Korean relations were relatively small. Second, according to the tendency of newspaper companies, Moderately conservative tendency The local newspaper's contribution to the reader was positive, while the tendency toward the progressive newspaper was relatively negative. Third, nearly half of the local newspaper articles were public servants and public enterprises. Among the public officials, the proportion of the police was relatively high, showing that the convergence of the local public opinion was focused on a specific occupation group. Fourth, the reliability of readers' articles was lowered by making the contents of articles such as duplicate articles in the local newspapers. These problems have been fully recognized by local newspaper readers, but no improvement plan has been prepared yet. A comprehensive analysis of the readers' contributions of the daily newspapers in Kyungnam Province shows that the function of the independent contribution of feedback, readers participation, Local newspapers should strive to reduce the number of peripherals factors that reduce the credibility of readers' posts in order to raise the quality of their contributions and to serve as a public forum for local people.
