초록
영어
In this study, we have performed an analysis on public relations industry based on the prime elements of industrial organization. A series of basic data set and its trends were analyzed in order to understand public relations industry. The analysis indicates that the average annual sales of public relations companies is between 4 and 6 billion won. Training expense that was chosen as an indicator of market activities comprised less than 0.3 percent of total sales throughout the companies regardless of their size. The portion of net profit showed 13.3 percent in average among companies with over 60 employees, but lower than that among smaller companies. Additional analysis’ are needed to understand the fixed expenses, other than labor costs, that brings down the net profit. For the PR industry has been considered as high-value business relying on human intelligence, less than 5 percent of net income is contradictory to our traditional perception. The average sales per person was between 70 million and 100 million won as the labor costs took 50 percent of the total sales.
