In this study, the installation background, types, and standards of disaster prevention facilities installed to protect cultural properties from fire and theft were reviewed. The installation and management status of such facilities were also examined through the survey of 146 wooden cultural properties and 108 movable cultural properties designated as national treasures and cultural treasures, and the operability of such facilities was analyzed to identify any problem. Based on the findings, the measures to improve the disaster prevention facilities for state-designated cultural properties were reviewed.

본 연구에서는 문화재를 화재, 도난 등으로부터 예방하기 위해 설치된 방재시설의 설치 배경, 종류, 및 기준 등을 살펴보고 국보 및 보물로 지정된 목조문화재 146개소 및 동산문화재 108개소에 대해 실태조사를 통하여 설치 현황 및 관리 상태를 알아보았으며 방재시설의 가동성을 분석하여 문제점을 살펴보았다. 이를 바탕으로 국가지정 문화재 방재시설 개선방안을 검토하였다.
