In terms of the period of admission, teenagers who stayed in the shelter under one month showed more negative emotions than those who lingered over one month. Regarding the gender, the pre-test showed that the level of girls' negative feelings was higher than boys', however it was reduced to the level of boys' average after entering the shelter. Based on the results, this study suggests program development considering the characteristics of runaway adolescents and measures to improve protection effects of short term youth shelter.
