This study started from a question about the calling experience of pastor and its characteristics and essence. The research problem is 'what kind of experience does pastor have in the process of calling, and what is the significance of the experience?', and the study adopted Colazzi's data analysis method and phenomenological research method, to examine the essence and significance of individual experience of pastor. Study participants are 5 male pastors, 2 female pastors. As for their church, there was one Methodist, 2 Presbyterians, 3 Pentecosts and 1 from independent church. As for the period of ministry, there were more than 14 years(1 pastor), more than 15 years(1 pastor), more than 12 years(3 pastors), more than 30 years(1 pastor). As the result of study, there were actual experience of God, stuck in every work, had holy burden, convinced about calling, exhausted due to crisis during ministry, exhausted due to rumination about calling, enjoyed ministry. The conclusions reached in this study are as follows. The first pastor accepts the call through clogging and experience of God. The second pastor is convinced of the calling through the support of the system. The third pastor establishes the direction of ministry through reflection on God's will. Fourth, the rumination of the pastor's vocation experience contributes positively to exhaustion. Therefore, based on this information, preliminary pastors will need to verify their vocation before ministry, and seminaries need vocational training courses for them. In addition, the pastor should seek to resolve the exhaustion through a period of regular rumination of his calling

본 연구는 목회자의 소명경험은 어떠하며 그 특성과 본질은 어떠한가라는 의문에서 시작하였다. 연구문제는 “목회자는 소명과정에서 어떠한 경험을 하였으며 그 경험이 갖는 의미는 어떠한가?”로 상정하였으며 현상학적인 연구방법과 Colaizzi의 자료 분석방법을 채택하여 목회자의 개별적 경험의 본질과 그 의미를 탐색하였다. 연구 참여자는 남성 목회자 5인, 여성 목회자 2인이며 교단은 감리교 1인, 장로교 2인, 독립교단 1인, 순복음교 3인이고, 목회자의 목회기간은 14년 이상 1인, 15년 이상 1인, 12년 이상 3인, 30년 이상 1인으로 구성 되었다. 연구결과 대 주제는 하나님을 실제적으로 체험함, 하는 일이 다 막힘, 거룩한 부담감을 갖게 됨, 소명에 대한 확신이 듦, 목회하면서 위기로 소진 됨, 소명에 대한 반추로 소진이 해소 됨, 목회가 즐거워짐으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 도달한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째 목회자는 막힘과 하나님에 대한 체험을 통해 소명을 수용한다. 둘째 목회자는 체계의 지지를 통해 소명에 대한 확신을 갖게 된다. 셋째 목회자는 하나님의 뜻에 대한 성찰을 통해 사역의 방향성을 설정한다. 넷째 목회자의 소명 경험에 대한 반추는 소진해소에 긍정적인 기여를 한다. 그러므로 이러한 내용에 근거하여 예비목회자는 목회 전 자신의 소명에 대한 검증이 필요할 것이고 신학교에서는 그들을 위한 소명관련 교육과정이 필요해 보인다. 더불어 목회자는 자신의 소명에 대한 정기적인 반추의 시간을 통해 소진해소를 도모해야 할 것이다.
